60s Costumes

If you are going to have your own 1960s party, you need to make the decision whether you will allow your guests to come in 1970s costume too. To be honest there is an overlap between the two decades but some styles, such as Glam Rock are more 70s. It is important that you advise your guests on the invitation. You could even give them some costume suggestions. What about giving them web addresses of pages (such as this) that will give them the info. they need.

A word of warning though. Do not restrict your theme too much as this will put your guests off! A good costume party will only work if the majority, if not all, of your guests dress up.
