Reaching age 60 is not just a major milestone. It is actually a collection of actions, a scrapbook of days, and a mind full of memories. Party Ideas: For starters, center everything around the number 60.
Play music from the 60's (lots of good music here!) Give the CD's to the birthday person after the party. Great for reliving the fun of the party!

60's Fashion - Ask people to dress in a 60's item. You can buy glasses, hats, etc. for your guests to wear.

Make a polaroid picture poster and have 60 people sign it. Don't forget, it can include, children, friends, neighbors, store clerk from their favorite store, etc. You'll come up with 60 names easily!

Snacks - 60 M 'n M's in their favorite team colors or high school or college colors.
