A paperback (probably better called pulp) novel about the de Havilland Mosquito 633 Squadron.

It's been on my shelf for a while, but I haven't taken to read it. The book club challenge for squid summer school, that provides an excuse to make time, and hopefully share it with other readers.

633 Squadron was turned into a famous film. However, what most don't realise was that it was only the first book in the series. The paperbacks in the 633 Squadron series focus on the subsequent missions of the Squadron - while the pilots may change the squadron lives on.

Operation Valkyrie is Number 4 in the series, and one I have been intending to read for a while.

The De Havilland Mosquito is one of my favourite aircraft - fast, iconic, versatile and unforgettable. I simply hope the book can live up to the aircraft, since quite a few series report a sharp decline in quality after the first few.
