Hasta La Pasta is an Italian restaurant in the Humble/Atascocita area, although it also has locations in Spring as well as Katy, TX. But we're going to talk about the one in Humble, which is the best Italian restaurant in the area as far as I'm concerned.
Menu Recommendations
Best of the Hasta La Pasta Menu
Hasta La Pasta has what you'd normally expect from an Italian restaurant--lasagna, spaghetti, grilled chicken tossed with pasta, and so on. They just do it better than most. Here are some of my favorites:Appetizers:
Calamari - Fried squid. If you like fried food in general but have always been a little squeamish about trying squid, this is a good compromise. Trust me, I hated calamari the first time I tried it. However, I could eat these little buggers all day like popcorn.
Stuffed Mushrooms - Mushrooms stuffed with Italian sausage, spinach, and ricotta cheese... covered with melted mozzarella cheese. It's hard for me to share these!
Entrees:
Lasagna - I usually default to the lasagna when I can't make up my mind. Even the lunch-size portion is generous, and the tomato sauce is deliciously sweet.
Di Mare - Big bowl of angel hair pasta in basil garlic butter sauce, and best of all... topped with sauteed shrimp, scallops, and mussels! This is what I get for my seafood fix.
Verona - This is a pizza with bacon, mushrooms, and chicken. Unless you're REALLY hungry or want to take back some leftovers, you might want to split this with another person.
Desserts:
Death by Chocolate - If you have to die, this is a pretty good way to go. It's sheer decadence.

This is one of our favorite little restaurants. We love the Canelloni Bianco and Caprese Salad. Especially love it when we have a coupon from the mail. On Friday or Saturday nights may have a 10 minute wait, but we think it's worth it. - Dee Dee
