80-85 Leveling Guide For WoW Cataclysm

When starting your 80-85 leveling guide for WoW Cataclysm you have a couple choices for the very first starting zone. When Cataclysm was first released this was kind of an important decision because so many people were in the starting zones that you could pick the less populated one.

These days it is really a matter of preference and most people are picking the Mount Hyjal zone simply because Vashj'ir is an underwater area that many players do not really seem to like using for questing. It is kind of annoying.

If you are into achievements you will want to make sure you do both of these zones at some point and I usually wait until I hit 85 to work on the quests in Vashj'ir. It's nice because you get all gold for all of these quests once you hit the level cap.

If you are using a guide like Zygors Addon (http://www.ZygorsAddon.com) you can choose either zone to start at level 80 and either one will start at the Hero Call board in Stormwind which you will see as a constant theme in WoW Cataclysm.

Deepholme will be the next stop on our 80-85 leveling guide. After picking up the starting quest at, you guessed it, the Hero Call Board in SW you will be sent to see Thrall (yes Horde or Alliance go see Thrall) which will start your journey into the underground world of Deepholme.

A huge tip for this area is to make sure you do enough quests to open up Therazane at a minimum as this is where you will get your shoulder enchants.

Any decent Quest Helper will get you to this point very easy.

Many people complained about lag in this zone and I think it was probably due to the intense graphics and those using inferior video cards as I had no problem at all questing here. If you find that you do you will want to make sure you suck it up and work through to at least Therazane for the rep tabard. It IS that important.

Uldum is probably my favorite stop along the 80-85 leveling guide for WoW Cataclysm. This zone is actually in the south end of Kalimdor and features an Egyptian style desert region that takes you along with the hero "Harris Jones"

This questing zone features a ton of cut scene videos which some found to get annoying but, I personally loved them and wish Blizzard would have incorporated more throughout all the zones rather than just packing a ton of them into this one.

You should make sure to get your rep to the point of being able to get some really nice epic rep gear from the vendor in town. This is easily achieved past the Honored level by questing and you can pick up the tabard for running dungeons to get exalted later.

The final stop along your 80-85 leveling guide for WoW Cataclysm is Twilight Highlands which is located in the Eastern Kingdoms.

There will be a short quest chain (maybe 6-8 quests) you will have to complete in Stormwind before catching a helicopter ride at Stormwind Harbor to the Twilight highlands.

Again, this area features some really nice epic rep gear you can get starting at the Honored level so you want to make sure you get to that point as well as pick up the tabard to grind dungeons to exalted later. You can always do daily quests as well if you are not into running dungeons.

One thing to be sure you complete while in this zone is the "Crucible Of Carnage" which is an arena style area that features group chain quests to battle bosses and you receive some very nice level appropriate weapons.
