Ratt - Stephen Pearcy

Excerpt taken from Myspace:
The comeback buzz began building last spring when VH1 aired an episode of Behind The Music spotlighting the drama that swirled around Ratt's remarkable run of four consecutive platinum albums. The return of "Ratt 'n' Roll" - the band's motto - became a reality earlier this year when founding members - vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer - launched a summer tour, their first together in eight years. Joined onstage by bassist Robbie Crane and guitarist John Corabi, Ratt's tour dates will extend into the fall and may also include shows in Canada, Europe, Japan, South America and Australia.
The tour is only the first step. The group will also release two compilations on July 31 through Rhino Records. TELL THE WORLD: THE VERY BEST OF RATT is a career-spanning CD that includes standout songs from all seven of the band's studio albums as well as unreleased material. RATT: VIDEOS FROM THE CELLAR: THE ATLANTIC YEARS is the group's first DVD release and combines both of Ratt's previously released video collections along with several bonus features.
Prior to selling more than 16 million albums worldwide and establishing itself as one of the most popular groups of the 1980s, Ratt perfected its trademark mix of guitar heroics, anthemic hooks and hedonistic attitude playing the clubs along Los Angeles' famed Sunset Strip and signed with Time Coast Records in 1983. The band recorded the RATT EP, a (6) song LP featuring the indie hit "You Think Your Tough", which found it's way to heavy rotation on local radio in Los Angeles. The band signed with Atlantic Records, releasing its debut in 1984. Out Of The Cellar sold more than three million copies and rocketed into Billboard's Top Ten on the strength of its first single, "Round And Round." Reaching 12 on Billboard's Singles chart, the track was the first in a long line of hit songs and videos that made Ratt a fixture on the radio and MTV as well as a major live act playing to sold-out crowds across the nation. The band reformend with original members Stephen Pearcy, Warren De Martini and Bobby Blotzer in 1997 with the release of "Collage", then again in 1999 with the release of "RATT" with John Klodner. And finally back in 2007 with a successful summer tour with Poison and the release of a new RATT DVD ""Tell the World", and CD.
Pearcy says. "We're back together and out on the road 2008, which is exactly where we want to be. We'll be back for the real attack 2009!

12 QUESTIONS WITH JOHN ROTH
Thanks to everyone who participated in the 12 Questions with John Roth interview. The following 12 questions were chosen by John himself - enjoy
Q: Do you find it tiring or boring to play certain songs at every concert?
A: Not really. You play to a different audience every night, and the energy at each show is very different, also there are songs in the set that are played a little different every night, which helps things from getting stale. If I was to get bored, though, I would probably just think about the after show food.
Q: John, your solo music is injected with Blues and Funk, how does this inspire you when writing and playing your guitar parts in Winger?
A: All of the rhythm guitar parts played in Winger are written by Reb and Kip except for the jam at the very end of Generica and the solos that I play. If the situation calls for improvising, as in soloing, I play what I feel, which is inspired by the vibe of the song and the parts being played by the other instruments. So if the groove is funky or bluesy that's where I go, otherwise I just rock.
Q: What is your inspiration when writing songs?
A: The people I know - the places I've been both physically and spiritually - my favorite guitars - great groove - an undeniable hook, lyric or melody - a million different things.
Q: What are your best practice tips for aspiring guitarists?
A: Your timing, sense of rhythm and phrasing are the elements that what will make you different and set you apart from other players and at the same time enable you to groove and have good chemistry with other musicians. There are just 12 notes in western music - it's the notes you choose and how you play them over the beat and phrase them that makes you unique - know where the beat is - practice tapping quarter notes with your foot through EVERYTHING you play, break out the metronome or a drum loop -..practice IN TIME

NEW POISON DVD DEBUTS AT 8 ON BILLBOARD CHART
Multi-Platinum rockers, POISON, have just released Poison: Live, Raw & Uncut, available exclusively at Best Buy, and it debuted at 8 on Billboard's Top Music Video Chart. The DVD/CD collection &151; the band's first in over a decade &151; includes all of their greatest hits performed live. Captured in glorious high definition, Live, Raw & Uncut was recorded in 2007 in front of more than 10,000 rowdy fans at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in
St. Louis, Missouri. Rounding out the set is an accompanying bonus CD of Poison's greatest hits captured live.
In a time when most music is manipulated, copied, pasted and auto-tuned in digital recording studios, the question that always begs to be answered now more than ever is, "But can they play it live?" Well, Poison can and always have. Playing live is what Poison is all about. The music acts as a soundtrack to their live show. If you are an avid Poison fan, this gem is a must have for your collection. If you have never seen Poison live, you'll be convinced that this is a band to be reckoned with.
While professional performing musicians are never satisfied with their entire performance, many of their recorded concerts are performed and recorded several times to find the best of the batch. Not so in the case of Live, Raw & Uncut. Poison decided that what you get live is what you get on the DVD. Hi Def cameras, state of the art lighting, mind-blowing camera stabilizers and top notch recording technology now can capture the action like never before.
Live, Raw & Uncut is like a journey into the radical world of Poison's live show, and serves as time travel through Poison's 21-plus year career. All the great songs are here: from their first hits, "Talk Dirty To Me," "Ride The Wind" and "Fallen Angel," to remakes like "Your Momma Don't Dance" and "What I Like About You" to their power ballad hits like "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Somethin' To Believe In," along with heavy rockers like "Look What The Cat Dragged In."
Poison is currently on the road, hitting 50 U.S. cities this summer on their LIVE, RAW & UNCUT SUMMER TOUR 2008.

Around 1999, the band was signed by John Kalodner to Sony Records. However, the band was dropped by the label before a new album could be released, plunging the band into three years of litigation. Cinderella toured again in 2000 and 2002.
As of the mid-2000s, Eric Brittingham is working with his wife's band, Naked Beggars. Jeff LaBar has an internet radio show, Late Night with the LaBars, with his wife Debby on www.realityradio.biz. Fred Coury is working with numerous bands in the studio and film, and Tom Keifer is working on a solo album. Cinderella headlined the VH1 Classic Rock Never Stops 2005 summer tour.
In 2005, Mercury Records released the compilation Rocked, Wired & Bluesed: The Greatest Hits on CD and DVD.
Cinderella completed a tour in the summer of 2006 with Poison. Both bands celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut albums, Night Songs and Look What the Cat Dragged In. The tour was a success and became one of the most successful tours of 2006, averaging about 20,000 people in attendance per night.
Cinderella planned to tour in 2008 with Warrant, Lynch Mob, and Lynam, but on June 13th that year, Tim Heyne, the band's manager, said in a press release: "It is with unbelievably deep regret that I must announce that Cinderella's Tom Keifer's left vocal cord has hemorrhaged, thereby making it impossible for him to sing in the immediate future." More recently, Eric Brittingham was a guest on "The Classic Metal Show" and explained Cinderella's current situation. Eric stated that Tom's left vocal chord has hemorrhaged but he did not pop it open. Tom is resting for this summer and Cinderella also tried to aim for a tour sometime in the near future.
[edit] Possibility Of A New Cinderella Record
Jeff Lebar was interviewed by Ultimate-Guitar and stated that Cinderella would love to make a new record but obstacles holding the group back would be that they still haven't been signed by a record label after Sony dropped the band in 2000. Jeff also stated that he is busy with his new band entititled Freakshow (Features Frankie Banali of Quiet Riot) and Eric is busy with Naked Beggars. Jeff also stated that the timing would have to be accurate and at the right time. Tom Keifer still has yet to also release his solo album, which has been in the works for almost eight years.

A promoter in England, Mags Revell, started the ball rolling for Mötley Crüe's reunion when he started a promotion that basically revealed how fans wanted the band to reunite. After meeting with management several times, in September 2004, Sixx announced that he and Neil had returned to the studio and had begun recording new material. In December 2004, the four original members announced a reunion tour which began February 14, 2005, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The band's latest compilation album, Red, White & Crüe, was released in February 2005. It features the band members' favorite original songs plus three new tracks, "If I Die Tomorrow", "Sick Love Song", co-written by Sixx and James Michael as well as a cover of The Rolling Stones' classic "Street Fighting Man". A small controversy was caused when it was suggested that neither Tommy nor Mick played on the new tracks (duties were supposedly handled by Vandals drummer Josh Freese and ex-Beautiful Creatures guitarist DJ Ashba). However, a VH1 documentary of the band reuniting would later show that Lee did indeed play on some of the tracks. The Japanese release of Red, White & Crüe, includes an extra new track titled "I'm a Liar (and That's the Truth)". Red, White & Crüe charted at #6 and has since gone platinum.
In 2006, Mötley Crüe went on the Route of All Evil Tour co-headlining with Aerosmith. This was another well attended tour following the "Carnival of Sins" tour of 2005. In June 2007, Mötley Crüe set out on a small European tour. A lawsuit was recently filed by Neil, Mars and Sixx against Carl Stubner, Lee's manager. The three sued him for contracting for Lee to appear on two unsuccessful reality shows the band claim hurt its image. It was reported on Motley.com that the lawsuit has been settled.
Mötley Crüe's ninth studio album, titled Saints of Los Angeles was released in Japan on June 17 and in America on June 24. The album was originally titled "The Dirt", but was changed. The album features the band's original lineup. On April 11, Mötley Crüe released the song "Saints Of Los Angeles" in full, and also as a downloadable song for the game Rock Band, on April 15. The song is available on spinner.com.
Mötley Crüe had announced that sometime in 2009 is the possible release date for the movie, The Dirt, based on the book written by Mötley Crüe and Neil Strauss. Rumors about the cast of characters in this movie include Christopher Walken as the famous rock and roll star Ozzy Osbourne and Val Kilmer as David Lee Roth.
Motley Crue have recently announced their 2009 "Saints of Los Angeles" Tour. Supporting them will be Hinder, Theory of a Deadman, and The Last Vegas.

In May, the North American version of the updated Greatest Hits compilation is released: "ROCK OF AGES - THE DEFINITE COLLECTION" has new artwork, a slightly different tracklisting and, instead of "WATERLOO SUNSET", another preview of the covers album: Def Leppard's version of Badfinger's "NO MATTER WHAT". In June, a co-headline tour with Bryan Adams kicks off in the USA and on July 2, Def Leppard is part of the LIVE 8 festival in Philadelphia, where they play in front of 1,000,000 people. November sees the North American release of the "ROCK OF AGES" DVD, and in support of that release there are three major performances on US national TV; millions see the band play at Jimmy Kimmel Live and two big awards shows.
2006
The year starts quietly -- but that's only the calm before the storm. The band's long-awaited covers album "YEAH! is finally released in May, followed by a European festival tour in June which takes the band to Italy, Sweden, Germany, Holland, and the UK. On June 23, the band's North American co-headlining tour with Journey kicks off, the start of a summer full of rockin' shows.
2007
Recordings of the band's next album, started on the road the year before in their backstage studio called the "sparkle lounge", are coming along well. In order to avoid the risk of cabin fever, the band goes out on tour in North America with Styx and Foreigner in tow, the first time the band goes on the road for a full tour without an album to support.
2008
The band's 12th studio album is released in April. "SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE," named after the backstage area in which a lot of material was recorded during the 2006 tour, features a special collaboration with country star Tim McGraw in the lead single "NINE LIVES." A world tour starts in April, taking the band to North America, India, and various festivals in Europe. For the first time in 5 years, the UK sees the band do a proper tour, co-headlining with Whitesnake.

This leg of the 2008 Tour is over... and this is what DC has to say:
1.) Congratulations on the Global success of "Good To Be Bad". It must have been a great feeling to see and hear the way in which the new songs from the album has been embraced at shows all over the World?
DC...Thank you...yes...it was most heartwarming to feel the album & the new in concert songs so well received... It's also probably the best reviewed Whitesnake album by most music critics... But the most rewarding aspect I heard & read in reviews was that the new songs seemed to blend seamlessly with the older Whitesnake classics in concert...YEAH, BABY!!!
For me, & the band, the new songs injected a much needed freshness which I feel crossed over into the older songs...They certainly felt vital to me again...
The other great thing is that the album is selling consistently, which means we had some converts because of the shows...Splendid stuff... Oh...& we just found out that we've been nominated for best band, best album of the year & most memorable event from our shows with the Leppards in Classic Rock magazine...Not too shabby!...Joe E & I are thrilled...
2.) The "Good To Be Bad Summer Of Love" World tour also coincides with the 30th Anniversary of Whitesnake. This means that we are now seeing "Second Generation" Snake fans at shows...and they know ALL of the words! Inspiring?
DC...A splendid coincidence...I love when the Cosmos puts it all together in a nice tidy package, don't you?...There's only so much you can plan...the Universe does the rest! & yes...we are seeing more & more young people at our shows & they are more than welcome...Truly inspiring & once again, it helps keep it fresh & keeps us on our toes...
By the way, it's also 35 years since I joined Deep Purple...Extraordinary...
3.) To compliment the traditional "Full On" electric intensity of a Whitesnake live show, we have seen the introduction of acoustic touches for the first time during this tour. Following the (often overwhelming) success of this, will you invest in unplugged parts of the show in the future?
DC...Oh, yes, absolutely...I've wanted to do this for years, but, never had the balls, to be honest...
When we came back to touring 4-5 years ago, there were times I had no choice but to become 'The Human Juke-Box' & sing a cappella onstage during the shows...Most often it was for the softer, more melodic songs that people were wanting to hear... Then a couple of years ago I suggested to Doug that he accompany me on a European promo trip for the 'Live In The Shadow Of The Blues' album & play some unplugged sets...& we enjoyed that experience immensely...so, then it was just a matter of time before we brought it into the show...& I was delighted with the response we received...so, yes...this will become a definite part of the future Whitesnake shows...

Van Halen started their new tour on September 27, 2007 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Playing to sellout crowds, the tour has generated positive reviews. Amid rumors of Eddie being back in rehab, multiple dates of the current tour have been postponed. The official reason is the need for medical procedures to be run on Eddie Van Halen.
On March 5, 2008 World Entertainment Weekly to CBS News reported the reason behind the stoppage in the tour was due to Eddie Van Halen needing to reenter rehab. The report also indicated that it was a "furious backstage bust-up in Florida with his 17-year-old son and bandmate Wolfgang" which motivated Eddie to seek help once again.
In response to rumors about Eddie Van Halen being back in rehab Valerie Bertinelli stated that "he is not in rehab". She did not however state if he had recently been in rehab, stating only that he wasn't currently.
Wolfgang Van Halen also stated that his father was not in rehab during the 2008 Kids Choice Awards, but did not say if he had recently been in rehab: only that he wasn't in rehab now. Eventually, the tour started back up on April 17 at the Reno Events Center in Reno.
The tour ended on June 2nd, 2008 at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI. During the show Roth made it a point to state multiple times that this would not be their final show and that they would "see everyone next time". This show also was a special occasion being that the sign in front on the arena had been re done so it read "VAN HALEN ARENA" instead of the "VAN ANDEL ARENA" which is its actual name.
According to the Van Halen News Desk, the reunion tour with Roth was the highest grossing in the band's history, raking in almost 93 million dollars.
Van Halen's song "Hot for Teacher" is included in the video game Guitar Hero World Tour.
The opening act of the Festival d'été de Québec in Quebec City was performed by Van Halen on July 3rd, 2008.
In a recent interview with Guitar World about the making of his upcoming new EVH Wolfgang guitar from Fender, Eddie Van Halen had this to say regarding the subject of new Van Halen music: "I'll be making music 'til the day I die. I've done all kinds of stuff, and more is coming. I can't tell you exactly when right now. Wolfgang is in the 12th grade and he needs to graduate first. Then I'm getting married in June. We'll pick it up after that."

What do Spain, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungry, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, Finland, Switzerland, the UK and the US have in common?
They have fallen under the spell of the return of Twisted Sister, now celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Want proof? How many promoters can risk the headlining position of any festival (from 10,000-50,000) full of heavy music fanatics? None. And yet Twisted Sister is called on consistently to close some of the most prestigious festivals in the hard rock & metal scene in 14 different countries since their return.
There is no other live attraction on earth like Twisted Sister.
What makes this rebirth especially remarkable is that Twisted Sister has been able to tailor its show so that they can headline amusement parks such as Great Adventure as well as all ages radio shows in the US on a Friday and then can turn around and headline the heaviest death metal festivals in Holland and Germany on a Saturday while, in each case, giving the audience the show of a lifetime. There is no other band in the world that has the professional expertise to accomplish this theatrical transformation.
There is no other live attraction on earth like Twisted Sister.
Add to this Twisted Sister is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and is one of the few rock legends that has maintained all the original members from their recordings, giving even greater credibility to its image.
The 30 year club is very exclusive and consists of road hardened metal legends AC/DC, KISS, MOTORHEAD, JUDAS PRIEST, RUSH, ALICE COOPER, AEROSMITH AND SCORPIONS. With the addition of Twisted Sister to this amazing group, the bands music and message are now more popular then ever. The New Guns N' Roses
The revised lineup finally made a public appearance in January 2001, with two well-received concerts, one in Las Vegas and one at the Rock in Rio Festival in Rio de Janeiro. The band played a mixture of old hits as well as new songs from their forthcoming album. During their Rock in Rio set, Rose made the following comment regarding former members of the band:
" I know that many of you are disappointed that some of the people you came to know and love could not be with us here today. Regardless of what you have heard or read, people worked very hard (meaning my former friends) to do everything they could so that I could not be here today. I say fuck that. I am as hurt and disappointed as you that unlike Oasis, we could not find a way to all get along. "
The new lineup played a further two shows in Las Vegas at the end of 2001. In 2002, rhythm guitarist Paul Tobias left the band because of his frustrations with life on the road. He was replaced by Richard Fortus (formerly of The Psychedelic Furs and Love Spit Love). The band then played several shows in August 2002, headlining festivals and concerts throughout Asia and Europe. They made their way to New York for a surprise appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.
In 2002, the band's first North American tour since 1993 was organized to support Chinese Democracy, with CKY supporting. However, the opening show in Vancouver was cancelled by the venue when Rose failed to turn up (having remained in Los Angeles), and a riot ensued. This tour was met with mixed results. Some concerts did not sell well, while shows in larger markets such as New York sold out in minutes. Due to a second riot by fans in Philadelphia when the band failed to show up again, tour promoter Clear Channel cancelled the remainder of the tour.
The band went on hiatus until they were scheduled to play at Rock in Rio IV in May 2004. However, Buckethead left the band in March of that year, causing the band to cancel. Also in March 2004, Geffen released Guns N' Roses' Greatest Hits, since Rose had failed to deliver a new studio album in more than ten years. Rose expressed his displeasure with this album as its track listing was established without his consent and went as far as trying to block its release by suing Geffen. This failed, however, and the album went triple platinum in the USA.

Fueled, as ever, by Don Dokken's formidable lead vocals, standout tracks include "Standing On The Outside," "Oasis" and "Heart To Stone," all of which capture the potent crush of barbed-wire riffs and razor-sharp melodies that made Dokken one of the biggest band of the '80s and one of the most dominant and creative forces in hard rock.

As he heads back out on the concert trail again this year now that "Along Came a Spider" is unleashed, Alice insists he's still motivated to continue touring and making albums, as well as making time for such side projects as Cooper'stown (his Phoenix-based restaurant/sports bar), his Alice Cooper: Golf Monster book, and his Nights With Alice Cooper nightly radio show, syndicated domestically and worldwide on over 100 stations.
"If there's nothing standing in my way, why not?," he shrugs. "It's what I love doing. And no one puts on a show as good as ours, musically and visually. I'm glad to be an elder statesman, and a healthy one. I look to guys like Ozzy, Iggy and Steven Tyler as fellow survivors. We're carnivores, not dinosaurs. We eat whatever bands are in our path."
With his influence on rock & roll long since acknowledged, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn't achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.
Along Came a Spider, the 25th album of a remarkable career with uncountable highlights, may require him to make more room on the mantelpiece for yet more hardware.

All this has ensured that the SCORPIONS are the only German band to have unswervingly pursued an international career for over thirty-five years. "We've often been through hell, to experience heaven. We've always had faith in ourselves and have never accepted limitations for ourselves," is how Rudolf Schenker sums it up. "Doing a world tour and seeing how people respond to the music and are carried away by it," is for Rudolf Schenker simply "the best there is." An "adventure" that he "wouldn't miss for the world." For SCORPIONS vocalist Klaus Meine it's "a fascinating experience, again and again, to contribute towards a peaceful world through the global language of music. To show that music is a language that crosses frontiers and overcomes differences." The outstanding date in this respect was the concert the SCORPIONS - from Germany - gave in 2002 in Volgograd. For these musicians, born in post-war Germany between 1948 and 1955, it was a deeply felt contribution towards atonement. What's important for Matthias Jabs is to make "music that's enduring" and that embodies the identity of the SCORPIONS. Over time and up there in front of the fans. Music that satisfies the band's own musical needs and those of their audiences. Music, above all, that stands the test of a live concert - in the full exposure of the spotlights, "where you can't hide anything." In 2004 Klaus Meine gives this summary of the impressive history of the SCORPIONS: "There'll never be any substitute for live concerts with real music and real feelings." It's a statement from the heart that also looks forward into the future. And UNBREAKABLE is the musical statement of now from Germany's only global band.

Bon Jovi - Jon Bon Jovi

Excerpts taken from Wikipedia
In June 2007, Bon Jovi released their tenth studio album, Lost Highway. The album debuted at number #1 on the Billboard charts, the first time that Bon Jovi have had a number one album on the U.S. charts since the release of New Jersey in 1988. The album sold 292,000 copies in its first week on sale in the U.S., and became Bon Jovi's third US number one album. The first single from the new album was "(You Want to) Make a Memory", which debuted (and peaked) at #27 in the Billboard Hot 100, Bon Jovi's highest ever debut in the U.S. charts. The album reached Number #1 in Japan, Canada, Australia and Europe, and reached number #2 in the UK.
To promote the new album, Bon Jovi made several television appearances, including the 6th annual CMT Awards in Nashville, American Idol, and MTV Unplugged, as well as playing at the Live Earth concert at Giants Stadium[1]. They also performed ten promotional gigs in the U.S., Canada, the UK and Japan. As part of the 'tour', Bon Jovi were the first group to perform at London's new O2 Arena (formerly the Millennium Dome) when it opened to the public on June 24, 2007. The 23,000-seater stadium sold out within 30 minutes of tickets being released.[5]
On June 6, 2007, Richie Sambora checked himself into a rehabilitation facility[6]. This meant that he missed a concert in Puerto Rico as well as several television appearances, with backup guitarist Bobby Bandiera taking his place. He checked out on June 13, and was present for Bon Jovi's remaining summer concerts.[7]
When questioned on American Idol, Jon Bon Jovi stated that the band would embark on a tour beginning in January, after playing ten dates in New Jersey in the fall. The band were criticised due to the perceived excessive ticket prices charged for the shows, tickets for which were priced as high as $337 according to one report[8] and $1000 according to another.[9]According to Richie Sambora this tour would be a greatest hits tour, so it would not be in direct support of Lost Highway. However, in October 2007 the band announced the Lost Highway Tour. Starting with the New Jersey gigs, the band are touring Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the U.S. and then Europe, finishing in the summer. In early December 2007 the band took time off from their Canadian tour to become the first ever American band to headline the Royal Variety Performance in Liverpool, England, performing in front of the Queen herself.[10] The U.S. leg of the tour began February 18, 2008 in Omaha, Nebraska.

KISS - Paul Stanley

"ELECTRIFYING POWER"
By Melanie (Sass) Falina
Paul Stanley might very well live his life by his penned mantra "Live To Win" but he's also a man who was born to entertain. With the sleekness of a cat, the grace of a dancer, and the sass of a mega rock star -- Paul Stanley just inherently knows how to put on a stellar performance be it solo or with the group he co-founded more than three decades ago, KISS.
Live To Win, the sophomore solo release by Paul Stanley, followed his first release by more than 25 years -- but fans not only couldn't be more delighted but also didn't seem at all put out by such a heady wait. The tour that followed suit attracted not only hard-core KISS fans, but newer, younger fans as well. And it was at the House of Blues in Chicago where the cameras were turned on and this DVD is the result. It was November 6, 2006, and for those of us who were there that night, the recording is a great way to relive a fantastic show, to maybe see some of the things we'd missed while concentrating elsewhere -- maybe too engrossed in signing along and dancing to catch every sway of Stanley's hips. But for those who weren't there that night, One Live KISS will make you feel like you were.

First 3 Latin America dates announced
Published: November 22, 2008
From our Latin America Promoters Evenpro Press Release...
We have no doubt whatsoever that IRON MAIDEN is special to Latin America and Latin America is special to IRON MAIDEN. Allow us to explain...
What was achieved by both the band and their fans earlier this year in Latin America was unheard of ... over 250,000 tickets were sold in less than a week, thus setting box office records across the region. Within an 18 day time period the band covered 7 countries, played 9 concerts and flew over 15,000 miles (25,500 kilometers). No artist, no band had ever done this before. Period. With their incredible, high energy shows selling out well in advance and the insane reaction from their fans to this very classic and timeless show...Somewhere Back in Time, the question at the end of the tour was, "Should we do it again?".
And the answer from all sides was... DAMN RIGHT WE DO IT AGAIN! ... and along with returning to some of our favourite places let's play some other cities and countries too.

Judas Priest - Rob Halford

Excerpts taken from MySpace:
London, 1st October 2008 - One of the worlds most popular and influential Heavy Metal bands - Judas Priest are set to rock the UK to it's very core when they bring their 'Priest Feast' tour to play 7 arena dates in February 2009 with support from special guests - Thrash Metal veterans Megadeth and Testament.
Since 1974, Judas Priest has been one of heavy metal's most successful bands, issuing such all-time classic albums as 1980's 'British Steel,' 1982's 'Screaming for Vengeance,' and 1990's 'Painkiller,' and such arena-rocking anthems as "Breaking the Law," "Living After Midnight," and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'." However, Priest's influence goes far beyond their music - they were the first metal band to embrace the 'leather biker look,' a fashion that has since become synonymous with the musical genre. Additionally, Halford's powerful four-and-a-half octave vocal range and the twin guitar harmonies of Downing and Tipton have been 'studied' by countless metal bands in Priest's wake.
Think 'Double vinyl, gatefold sleeve concept album,' and some of rock's all-time classic recordings come to mind. But in the realm of heavy metal, there has never been a double vinyl (now disc!) concept album that has managed to balance a thought-provoking storyline with metallic thunder. That was, until now. Metal legends JUDAS PRIEST released their sprawling double disc concept album, 'Nostradamus' via Columbia Records on Monday, June 16th in the UK/Europe, and a day later in the US on Epic Records.
Having the opportunity to see 3 such important and influential bands within the world of Metal on the same bill is cause for excitement. Make sure you don't miss the chance to witness Metal history in the making and ensure you are part of Priest Feast 2009.
