The Big Nasty Motorcycle Hill Climb, near New Plymouth, ID

The Motorcycle hillclimbing is just incredible, and you'll see motorcycles like you'll see nowhere else. Everything ranging from 300 horsepower, nitro Harley's, to shrieking, wailing, multi-cylinder 2-strokes all weekend. You'll see a few riders go right over the top of any of the three, different hills at the Big Nasty, and then there are those that don't make it...

This is the year that they take over the night with the new McALVAIN Group of Companies Big Nasty Night Show.

If you think that hillclimbing in the daylight is cool, just wait until you see it at night.

They will also have some new bands, led by our headliner, Dirty Rooster Lollipop including Fifty Seven Hevy, on Friday and Saturday night.

They are also going to have "pumpkin shooting," a sport that features pumpkins flying at targets at over 900mph.

They also have Rockies Diner/MonaVie, Metal Mulisha Freestyle Show returns, featuring Justin Homan and Keith Sayers, fresh off of their medal-winning performances at the Chinese X-Games. Does a motorcycle upside down, 40 feet in the air, sound like it might be fun to watch?

They will also be offering Helicopter rides, a Carnival with rides such as the Bullet and a roller coaster, and games like fishes and balloon pop. (Read more about the

September 11 THURSDAY
Noon - Hillclimbers may enter the event for camping in the pit areas. This year there will again be separate pro and trophy pit areas.

September 12 FRIDAY
9:00 AM - Camping area and front gate opens to the general public
Noon to 10:00 PM - Rider check-in/sign-up and hill inspection. ALL SIGN-UPS END AT 10PM FRIDAY!
5:00 PM - Rider Appreciation BBQ, (free to riders, $5 per person to non-riders)
5:00 - 7 PM - Live music by Dirty Rooster Lollipop & others TBA & pumpkin shooting demo
7:00 PM - Mini, 125 and women trophy hill competition on a new, easier, 260-foot hill, (later competitors will finish under the lights)
9:30 PM - Friday Awards and motorcycle movies shown on the Big Nasty Backstop

September 13 SATURDAY
6:30 AM to 9 M - Hill inspection and rider check-in at the hill
9:00 AM - Idaho Air National Guard Color Guard Presentation & National Anthem
9:15 AM - 450 Pro qualifying begins on the 250-foot, little nasty hill
10:30 AM - 700 Qualifying begins on the 250-foot, little nasty hill High Noon - Metal Mulisha Freestyle Show & pumpkin shooting 1:00 PM - Open Qualifying begins on the 250-foot, little nasty hill
3:00 PM - 90 Exhibition, Old Timer, and Senior, semi-pro classes begin on the new, 600-foot pro hill
4:00 PM - Metal Mulisha Freestyle Show & pumpkin shooting
5:00 - 7 PM - Live music by Dirty Rooster Lollipop & others TBA & pumpkin shooting demo
6:00 PM - Trophy competition resumes on the 250-foot, little nasty hill, starting with 250, 2-strokes, (later climbers will finish under lights)

September 14 SUNDAY

12:30 PM - Open Exhibition Pro Main (40-rider show) begins on the all-new, 540-foot hill
2:00 PM - Metal Mulisha Freestyle Show & pumpkin shooting
3:00 PM - King of the Hill Shootout%u2026.Top five Open and Top five 700 Pro Riders get one shot at the Big Nasty, 600-foot hill, with the winner taking home $500, and getting their name engraved on the Big Nasty King of the Hill Perpetual Trophy.
