When those extreme motorcyclist talk about doing the "Big Nasty", it definitely gets ones attention. But to actually see them take on this hill is quite exciting for everyone.
The Annual Big Nasty Hillclimb takes place near New Plymouth, Idaho. It is a huge event that draws every kind of racer imaginable, as the largest motorcycle event in Idaho they are expecting 12,000 people this year.

The Motorcycle hillclimbing is just incredible, and you'll see motorcycles like you'll see nowhere else. Everything ranging from 300 horsepower, nitro Harley's, to shrieking, wailing, multi-cylinder 2-strokes all weekend. You'll see a few riders go right over the top of any of the three, different hills at the Big Nasty, and then there are those that don't make it...
You will see pro riders and amatuers too.
They will have Live music by 57 Hevy & Aces & 8's, Abrupt Edge, Dirty Rooster Lollipop & others.
The Idaho Air National Guard Presentation of the Colors & National Anthem
They will have a Metal Mulisha Freestyle Show & pumpkin shooting
Plus many more activities.

2009 Big Nasty Tentative Schedule:
September 17 THURSDAY
Noon - Hillclimbers may enter the event for camping in the pit areas. This year there will again be separate pro and trophy pit areas.
September 18 FRIDAY
9:00 AM - Camping area and front gate opens to the general public
Noon to 10:00 PM - Rider check-in/sign-up and hill inspection.; ALL SIGN-UPS END AT 10PM FRIDAY!
5:00 PM - Minis, 125, 250's, and women trophy hill competition on 260-foot hill, (later competitors will finish under the lights)
8:30 - 10:30 PM - Live music by 57 Hevy & Aces & 8's
11:00 PM - Friday Awards
1AM - 7AM - Quiet Time
September 19 SATURDAY
6:30 AM to 9 M - Hill inspection and rider check-in at the hill
9:00 AM - Idaho Air National Guard Presentation of the Colors & National Anthem
9:15 AM - 450 Pro qualifying begins
10:30 AM - 700 Qualifying begins
High Noon - Metal Mulisha Freestyle Show & pumpkin shooting
1:00 PM - Open Qualifying begins
2:00 PM - Metal Mulisha Freestyle Show
3:00 PM - 90 Exhibition, Old Timer, pro women, and Senior, semi-pro classes begin

The hill is located 4 1/2 miles from New Plymouth, Idaho, 40 miles from Boise, and 11 miles from Ontario. Take I-84 West to exit 13, go right, then turn left on Sand Hollow Road. Drive five miles north to intersect Hwy 52, then follow Hwy 52 for another three miles, crossing the Payette River. Turn right onto Big Willow Creek Road to the hill. Expect a 40-50 minute drive from Boise.
