This true story is not only amazing but thought provoking. Some may choose not to believe this story by Don Piper but I for one found it very inspiring and comforting. Don Piper was pronounced dead at a horrible car crash but he returned to life to tell about his experience in Heaven. He tells that story along with his difficulties with recuperation from his injuries. This book continues to be read and bring comfort to many who have lost loved ones because it confirms their belief in the afterlife.

I read the book and really found it interesting...I hope all he said in the book is real because I have 3 dear sons that past away recently and I would love to think they are there. I see people saying how can someone die for 90 minutes and come back to life but as he explains in the book time is not the same in heaven as it is here on earth.

God who is indeed a God of order is also the same God who raised Lazarus from the dead as well as many others that you can find in the Bible. Jesus clearly demonstrates in his life time and in his ressurection that He indeed holds power over life and death. God is also the God of the miraculous. I

I have always known that Heaven is just beyond the veil and that the veil is thinner and tearing. I have had little views and visits from dear ones who have communicated from the other side in my dreams. This book made me realize that I wasn't dreaming......

I am a devote christian, I believe in heaven, and I don't believe that Don Piper went to heaven.
God is a God of order, I don't think He would make an exception to natural law like this. Especially when the man He made an exception for now has a testimony that makes christians look dumb. Either he is lying or something demonic happened to him.

I found out recently that unless we start reading and learning about the spiritual basics we stay skeptical and it's a living hell in our mind..it's not that we don't know that hurts us because we all start without knowing, that is why a man once said 'Seek and you shall find' but what hurts us is the fact we refuse to read and find out on our own if something is true or not this takes a personal investagation starting with reading

This was the song that Don started singing with his friend when he returned to life. Don's friend, also a minister, had been praying and singing and doing this because he felt called to be there trying to help Don even after he had been pronounced dead.

I realize that not everyone will enjoy this book or believe Don's story but personally I found it to be very comforting. I enjoyed reading his description of Heaven as he described an overwhelming feeling of LOVE. He writes about the music in Heaven and that there were only songs of Praise. Immediately, one of my favorite Sunday School Songs, Praise Him, came to mind.

- I have a good friend who had an NDE when she was young, also in a car accident. Twenty-five years later, the insight she had into an "other" world has informed her life. Coincidentally, I'll soon be doing an article about her and the place she has gotten to on her spiritual journey.
All of these are fascinating, and I've been reading about them since first learning about Elizabeth Kubler-Ross in the 1970s.
