The new 90210 kids have beat out The Hills and Keeping Up with the Kardashians to win the Hollywood Style People's Choice Award.
West Beverly stars will receive their prize Sunday, Oct. 12.

The Hollywood Style Awards were started five years ago by Hollywood Life Magazine. The winners are chosen through a People's Choice online poll posted onpcaVOTE.com between Sept. 18 and Oct.3.

Jason Priestley has revealed to the New York Daily News that he's "in talks" to help out with the upcoming CW remake.

"They're talking to me about directing some episodes," Priestley revealed. "I think that's where I'll be most beneficial."

UPDATE: It's official! Jason has signed on to direct a few episodes of 90210.

Executive producer Gabe Sachs didn't know which members of the new 90210 cast Jason would be working with but, said Priestley is open to being reunited with any of the old West Beverly High gang.
"It would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his [former 90210 costars], and it would also add something special to that episode. But we don't know whether that will happen yet."

Looks like 90210 has found a way to work around Shannen Doherty busy schedule.

Shannen has signed on to star in two additional episodes of 90210 this season.

Though we have yet to see him; Dylan McKay is a major character on the new 90210. He's the father of Kelly Taylor's son Sammy. The absent Dylan even has Brenda and Kelly fighting over him again.

Attempts to lure back Luke Perry to the role have so far failed which raises the question; who will play Dylan McKay? Rumors are flying around the web that the folks at the CW are making plans to recast the role.

Sources say; that producers would love to get Perry back but, Luke has been firmly saying no to all offers and there's only so long they can wait.

This rumor could be true. The new 90210 has had strong ratings and the CW may feel it's new generation of fans will have no problem excepting a new Dylan McKay.

After being photographed smoking and the never ending accusations of having an eating disorder; Shenae Grimes has taken to her blog to set the record straight.

"Now, as you all know now probably, I graced my first major magazine cover, only to be called 'too skinny' alongside my co-star Jessica Stroup. I would like to say once again that neither me or Jessica have issues with our weight or bodies. I happened to be very small built, and ive always been skinny. So I personally think that people need to stop criticizing everyone in the media these days about their issues. Im sure you wouldnt like it if someone pointed out all of your flaws and all of your mistakes."

Shenae also addressed the smoking issue. "I cant say that im proud of it, but there are so many people struggling with the addiction nowadays. I started smoking at about 16, and 1 in 5 teenagers smoke. Im not going to really go into the issue, but my hope is that you will all just stop hating and get on with it. I smoke. My choice. Im sorry if you dont like it, but this is who I am."

The one rumor Shenae didn't address was her being a diva on the set. I sure hope that one's not true either.

This probably shouldn't be news but, with all the bad press Shenae been getting; I just wanted help put the eating disorder rumors to rest.

The CW has given the go-ahead for a full season of the new 90210.

In a statement issued to the press; the CW says it feels confident in the show's future.
"The successful addition of 90210 has taken The CW another step forward in building a cohesive schedule that defines this network as a destination for young women with shows that get our audience talking and watching." said Dawn Ostroff (President of Entertainment for The CW)

Despite 90210 naming Dylan McKay the father of Kelly Taylor's son; when asked about appearing on the show Luke Perry simply said,"That would be a no."

Luke did say he was grateful for his time on the original 90210."When shows take off and they sort of, you know, become part of the American psyche like that, there is a time when it's happening that you are a little resentful of it because you had no idea it could possibly get that big. When you stop and look at the whole of your life and you look at the whole picture from that perspective I'm very proud of it. It was a lot of fun. It gives you a neat relationship with the American public. It really does put you on a little bit of a closer basis with all kinds of people. The world could use a little more of that."

Looks like the CW is going to have to offer Luke an insane amount of money if they want him back.

You know it's bad when you're too skinny for Hollywood.

A source close to the 90210 is claiming, the CW network has concerns about it's young female stars being too thin. The source says calls went out to representatives of the show's stars Shenae Grimes, Jessica Stroup, and Anna Lynne McCord suggesting they address the issue of weight with the girls.

McCord's publicist Gary Mantoosh denies receiving such notice, and insists that his client eats "whatever she wants," including hamburgers.
Despite the denials, one report estimates that none of the young ladies weighs more than 110 pounds, and 90210 insiders know this is a problem.

Starting October 7; Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) will be joining the new 90210 as a recurring character who gets romantically involved with one of the male regulars.

Jessica will portray Kimberly, a transfer student who hangs out with the kids at West Beverly.

Rumor has it Kimberly will be keeping a secret that impacts a number of characters.

There's a hot rumor in the air that Luke Perry will appear on the new 90210.
Luke had said he would not consider doing the show but, his character was mentioned in the premiere.
If the gossip is true; Kelly Taylor's son Sammy will be Dylan's and Luke will appear toward the end of the season. (I smell a possible cliffhanger)

UPDATE: It's true; Dylan McKay is the father of Kelly Taylor's 4 Year old son Sam.
This means there's a good chance we will see Luke Perry this season. (YES!)

The New York Post's Page Six is reporting that Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie Wilson on 90210, is being a diva on set.

Sources told Page Six that Grimes is "tormenting everyone on set" and "acts rude to the cast crew and extras."

The insider also says that Grimes had the gall to yell at a guest star, "Who the hell are you?" and doesn't hesitate to tell everyone "This is my show- everyone else is riding on my coattails.

IMHO; I don't believe for a second this rumor is true. During her time on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Shenae never once caused a problem and remains friends with her former co-stars.
So, don't believe everything you read.

Great news; PerezHilton.com is reporting that Jennie Garth has signed on for a total of 11 episodes of the new 90210.

Bad news; Shannen Doherty will only be in 4 episodes."They asked me to do a lot more but, I'm in the middle of pitching a show so, I couldn't commit to more than I did." Shannen explained.

If you've wonder what Ann Gillespie been doing since the original 90210; you might be surprised.
Ann Gillespie earned a master's degree in divinity and became the priest at Alexandria's historic Christ Church.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly; Shannen Doherty makes it clear she's more than a little pissed off at Tori Spelling for including their 90210 days in her tell-all book.

"I will censor myself out of respect for Jennie [Garth] because she's friends with Tori. I got passages sent to me and a vast majority of it is incredibly exaggerated. Maybe it's a difference of how I was raised. I just don't believe you write personal on-set experiences in a book. For me, when you work it's almost a sacred experience whether you get along with everyone or not."
Shannen continued to say she would never write about her experiences on the show.
"In 27 years of acting I've never sold out one of my cast members. Ever. And I will stick to that."

Brenda Walsh has returned to West Beverly to direct the musical Spring Awakening.

Spring Awakening is a Tony Award-winning rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and lyrics by Steven Sater.

The musical is based on the 1891 German Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind.
Set in late-nineteenth century Germany, it concerns teenagers who are discovering the inner and outer tumult of sexuality.

There's a hot rumor going round about the story line for Brenda and Kelly on the new 90210.

If true, the two ladies will once again find themselves after the same guy; Mr. Matthews (Ryan Eggold).

Though this is only gossip; don't be surprised if it's true. It sounds like a classic Brenda/Kelly situation!

With the kids of the new 90210 hanging out at Boulevard3 the producers are looking to book some hot bands for the show.

The original version was famous for turning little known musicians into superstars (remember Brenda in her room listening to REM) and the new 90210 is hoping to do the same.

Casting for recurring regulars also continues. Sources say main characters Ethan and Naomi are getting best friends. Naomi will be gifted with an entourage of hot girls, while Ethan's best buddies will be lacrosse teammates. Annie (new Brenda) is getting a new boyfriend. Plus, we'll meet Navid (new David Silver/Andrea Zuckerman)'s parents -- Dad's a porn producer. They're also plaining a bitchy, blonde bombshell, early 20s type into the mix.

Torrance High School, 2200 W. Carson St., Torrance: Like the original, all exterior shots of West Beverly High are done here. Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie Wilson, picked this as her favorite location, so far. "Awww, walking around the courtyard of the school that the original '90210' was shot at. It was a very, very, very surreal moment. It was wild," she said.

Tristan Wilds plays Annie's brother, Dixon, and he was most impressed with the Bel-Air mansion on Bel Air Road that will serve as the Wilson residence. "The house is oh my goodness. It's in Bel-Air. We got out of the car and I was like, 'Gabe, I think we switched shows. Am I the new Fresh Prince now? What's going on?' "

El Segundo High School, 640 Main St., El Segundo: The scenes in the high school parking lot and lacrosse fields are filmed here. Dustin Milligan, who plays Ethan Ward, a star lacrosse player, enjoyed his scenes here the most because "I skateboard and there's all these waxed curves and ledges, so I was skateboarding the whole time. It was sick! It was like right out of a video game or something."

Santa Monica Pier/Santa Monica Beach: The first episode ends with a bonfire on the sand, and Jessica Stroup chose this as her favorite locale. "It's so quintessential Los Angeles. I love the pier. I grew up on the East Coast, and for me to have the last shot of the episode to be at the pier in Santa Monica on the beach, it's awesome."

Boulevard3, 6523 W. Sunset Blvd., Hollywood: The famed nightclub plays itself and is used for a climactic birthday party scene. Michael Steger, who plays Navid Shirazi, had never been to the club until the script called for it. "I really like to be here. It has a very good energy to it. I like the location. I can walk here."

Spider Club, 1737 N. Vine, Hollywood: This is the Pit, the reincarnation of Peach Pit After Dark. AnnaLynne McCord, who plays queen bee Naomi, doesn't party on her personal time, so she found it enlightening to film scenes in two clubs. "I don't do the socialite nightclub thing, so it's fun to see those in the daytime, where you're like, 'Oh, this is what goes on at night. It's all debaucherous and all."

Deal Or No Deal model Meghan Markle has landed a role on the CW's new 90210.

Markle will play the role of Wendy, a sexy girl at West Beverly who uses her looks to get what she wants.

Sounds like a character we're going to love to hate!

Kellan Lutz of "The Comeback." has been cast to play a lacrosse player named George Evans.

When asked about joining the new 90210, Kellan said
"I grew up on the original! It's crazy being a part of the new generation. The original has such a huge cult following and I just know this cast will do the same for our generation."

West Beverly High's new teacher, Ryan Matthews promises to shake things up for the students this fall.

Ryan Eggold (from Dirt) was interviewed by TV Guide and here's what he had to say about his character.

Mr. Matthews is "kind of a kid himself. A lot of options there." One of those "options" will play out in the pilot episode. "There is some tension between a student and myself," he said. The illicit intermingling, however, may not come to fruition: "I'm not sure where they're going to go with it," Eggold said. "I do have a love interest, I can't say yet [who]."

Dustin Milligan as Ethan Ward, a "likeable jock" that falls out of the popular group and befriends the 90210 kids.

AnnaLynne McCord as Naomi Bennett a spoiled and attractive rich kid and Ethan's ex-girlfriend; she will appear to be a brat at first but will have more layers as the show goes on.

Michael Steger as Navid Shirazi, who runs the daily newscast. His character is supposed to be of Persian descent. He does not drink alcohol. because he is a Scientologist.

Tabitha Mills as Jessica Walter, the matriarch of the family, is a 60ish actress (and alcoholic), who was very famous during the 1970s.

Rob Estes as Harrison "Harry" Mills, the son of Tabitha Mills, a graduate of West Beverly Hills High, decides to move back to 90210; accepting a position as the principal at his old high school.

Lori Loughlin as Debbie Mills, wife of Harry Mills, was an Olympic athlete but is now working as a personal trainer.

Ryan Eggold as Ryan Matthews a cool English lit teacher at West Beverly High whose unorthodox teaching style puts him at odds with his fellow teachers and sometimes too close with his students.
