Brookside Park is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California. The actual park is located at 360 North Arroyo Boulevard, just south of the world famous Rose Bowl Stadium. At 61.1 acres, Brookside Park is Pasadena's largest fully maintained park facility. Generous (and free) parking is available off Arroyo Boulevard. The north section of the park contains one lighted regulation baseball diamond with seating for 4,200 and restrooms. The central section includes two lighted softball diamonds each with 240 seating capacity; a large, lighted multi-purpose field for flag football and soccer; a speaker's platform with permanent seating; numerous picnic tables; play area; restrooms; and drinking fountains. Barbecue pits are available in most picnic areas. Brookside Park is open daily from 6am to 10pm.

type=textBrookside Park is a major neighborhood in Pasadena, California. Its northern end is sometimes called Arroyo Terrace. It is Pasadena's second largest neighborhood by area, and its second most sparsely populated. The neighborhood is bordered by Oak Grove Drive to the north, the Arroyo Seco Canyon wall to the south, Linda Vista Avenue to the West, and Forest and Rosemont Avenues to the East. The Arroyo Seco runs the length of the Brookside Park. At the very center of the neighborhood is the Rose Bowl, at the southern end is Brookside Park (the actual park) and the Gamble House, and at the northern end is the Brookside Golf Course.

    Natural or man-made parks have always caught my attention, they are the places I prefer to see while on travel. Brookside park sure looks a cool and huge place, one complete day must be required to visit it.

    Kim, what a cool place! Oh wow! That layout picture makes Brookside look like a city or something. It surely sounds like your meetup was definitely the best one! Congratulations on that. OH, Growing up, we actually lived on Brookside Parkway which changed its name to Big Creek Parkway.
