92 Percent Is Good Enough For Me

92% And Proud!

I love Squidoo. I hate change. There I said it. Similar to so many people, I am resistant to change. We all handle it differently. Some people tend to complain. I tend to make jokes. So, in the spirit of tongue in cheek, I present to you my 92% percent lenses, which are good enough for me.

If you don't write for Squidoo, or you haven't been paying attention for the last 24 hours or so, Squidoo added a progress report to all of our lenses (a lens is just a fancy word Squidoo uses for pages written on the Squidoo platform). Now, if the point of this page was to critique, I would probably say it is a really great idea and an awesome tool. After all, it shows us all the things we need to do to have a successful page out there on the web. And isn't that why we write.

It isn't a critique, so instead I will focus on the fact that all of my 300 plus Squidoo pages have the categories which are in my control completed. As you see here, I don't market most of my lenses to the Squidoo community, so no lens love for me. At first I was sad, but then I did the math. If I take an average score for my lenses I would be at 97% - well that is good enough for me. And more importantly, I am having fun and making money.

The progress bar did give me an idea. A promotion idea. How about another lensography. Rather than a lensography of 100% (because I just can't be bothered to make one with over 200 lenses) I thought I would make one of my "92% and Proud lenses." And, you should too - If you are proud of them. And add your new lens to my plexo below.

One thing I hear over and over, focus and create a niche. Clearly I didn't do this at the beginning and I just pumped out lenses. Now I try to tie them to other lenses, often by adding a specialized sales lens or two (or more) and creating a small niche from a lens I already own. While the original lens might be popular on Squidoo, these lenses really are aimed at a different market, so I am happy with their 92% rating.

    Pretty much all of mine are at 92% or thereabouts, because they're all relatively new and none of them have 20 likes and no angel blessings ... yet.. LOL oh well.. I'm not worried about it, they'll get there or they won't. I imagine that about 92% of lenses on Squidoo are at 92%. LOL

    Yes here to support the 92% club in my frustration i put together a page too! ironically it now has 20 likes, and still the other ones dont but they make me sales! and that lens never will!

    I have A LOT of 92% lenses. This is a cute idea!!! I have a lens that is 92% but gets over 500 views a week and has over 400 FB likes.... just not enough Squid likes... Ehhhh can't win them all right?!? Love this love this love this!! Seriously!!
