Palm Desert, California is a beautiful place of warmth and serenity away from the stress of your busy everyday life.
We stayed at a luxurious vacation townhome and from there we could enjoy Palm Desert at our leisure.
One of my favorite outings was our day at the Living Desert Zoo. I have featured this marvelous place to visit.

- The reticulated giraffe is tan with white markings. A giraffe's spots are like fingerprints; each is unique pattern.

- Ankole live where temperatures can range from 20-120 degrees F, and have therefore developed the large horns, which are honey-combed with blood vessels, to help with thermoregulation.

Giraffes are well suited for the hot, dry climate as they can go a long time without drinking water when they eat acacia leaves that can be up to 74% water.

- My father lives in Palm Desert and we love to visit. I love the lIving Desert as well as some of the other local hiking areas. Also just 1 hour away is Joshua Tree National Park with excellent rock climbing, one of my favorite things to do! Excellent lens, 5 stars from me :)

- What a wonderful giraffe picture! I love giraffes! I know Palm Desert. I grew up in Orange County and lived for many years in Riverside and Temecula. It is hot there! In fact I used to do audits out there. This is a lovely lens on it. Blessed!

- I did a lot of work there in the late 70's when developement was just starting. Love the desert, I grew up in southern Arizona so Palm Desert was like home to me.
