Northwest Favorite!
History of Pietro's Pizza
A Northwest Favorite

Originally founded back in 1957, in Longview, WA, the Pietro's chain was a Northwest family favorite. There were locations up and down the I-5 corridor and beyond. I grew up with one just down the road from my house. There was also one not five minutes from my grandparents' house in Eugene, OR. You could say I was literally raised on Pietro's!
In the mid-to-late-90s, the chain hit some setbacks and the majority of the restaurants were closed and the buildings sold off. It was a rough blow to my family, as this was one of our weekly staples. No more personal-sized pizzas as a treat for lunch. No more playing video games in the arcade.
Today only three of the restaurants are operating, taken over by a couple of longtime employees who both trained under the founder and took over the name.
Just as they did when I was a kid, Pietro's still makes their one-of-a-kind thin crust pizza!
Fire Hoses Hanging in the Entry

Firehouse Decor

There is a firehouse theme to the Pietro's chain. The decor features fire poles, hoses, firefighter equipment, and old photographs of firefighters and their equipment. The restaurant is painted in red, black, and white.
The entrance of the Salem Pietro's is draped with fire hoses. Entering through the white double doors you are greeted by a fireman in red long johns sliding down the fire pole. Axes and other firefighting equipment are displayed on the walls around the booths and tables.
The Salem location has added a pirate-themed black light indoor mini golf game as well as indoor Lazer tag in the last few years. Guests can eat pizza then play miniature golf in a wild maze of pirates, sharks, and sunken treasure.
Pietro's Famous Pizza
Yum!

Pizza is the number one specialty at Pietro's! All the toppings are fresh, so build your own or choose from the classics like Hula Loola, the Bartender, Gold Coast, Pietro's Combo, or the Great Northwest! Choose their famous thin crust or thick crust. Pizzas come in individual size all the way to a large that can feed a family!
There's also a salad bar, grinder sandwiches, and delicious spaghetti or lasagna to choose from! Plus a kiddie menu for smaller tummies!
What Do You Think?
Arcade, Indoor Mini Golf, and Lazer Tag!

Pietro's has always had video games, as far back as I can remember. Although the original arcades were pretty small with only a few games, the Salem location has made a huge arcade of token games. Games of skill and chance that spit out tickets you can trade in for prizes, Skee-ball, pinball, and Dance-Dance-Revolution are staples!
Also in the Salem location there is Pirate Black-Light Indoor Miniature Golf. This twisted course takes you through the pirates lair, ship, and under the seven seas in search of treasure! Watch out for the sharks! Sink a hole-in-one on the last hole and win the ticket jackpot!
Most recently they added an indoor Pirate Adventure Laser Tag, which makes this location the perfect place to hold children's birthday parties!
