The Growing Trend
Burt's Bees is a company that produces natural personal care products for men, women and babies. As the trend for natural and "green" products becomes more popular, companies like this are just exploding. It is now becoming Hollywood glam. In fact, I think I saw a Burt's Bees commercial with Reese Witherspoon.
Their website has also exploded since last time I looked. From their company history, mission and values to their community involvement, charity work and news media. You can learn everything you need to know about the company, their products and what they stand for.
There are other natural companies out there and I have tried some of them, but Burt's Bees makes some of my favorite products. What I like best about them is that they tell you exactly HOW natural each product is. The outside packaging gives a percentage of natural content. The average product is 99% natural and over half of their products are 100% natural. That really is quite an accomplishment.
Now, I am no expert on this topic, but I would like to clarify that "natural" and "organic" are not the same. In my own rough terms, natural means that there are no chemical ingredients or artificial ingredients. Organic means that the natural ingredients used are also grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other such chemical exposure.
Product Overview
FOR MEN: As you know, personal care products are not just for women. Burt's Bees has several products for men including shaving cream, after shave lotion and cologne.FOR WOMEN: Of course, they have a full gammet of products for women... shampoos, moisturizers, eye creams and makeup. They even have belly butter for expecting moms.
FOR BABY: Some of my favorite products are the ones for babies. I can't even contemplate putting harsh chemicals on that brand new baby skin. Choose from diaper cream to hair and body wash. Gentle and sweet, just like baby.
NEW PRODUCTS: Besides, the men's cologne and age defying creams, Burt's Bees has several new products including their Outdoor line of sunscreens and herbal insect repellants.

My Personal Favorites
I would like to try many more of these products, but for now I will give you the ones I know best.LIP SHIMMER: I hate sticky lipstick, but I still want some color. These are perfect. They are soft, shimmery and have Vitamin E to keep lips nourished. Several colors to choose from. Affordable price and 100% natural. What's not to love?
MARSHMALLOW VANISHING CREAM: Not the sticky, sweet campfire treat... marshmallow root extract, a good treatment for inflamed, puffy skin. Some of Burt's Bees products tend to be a little greasy. This one is pure magic. Absorbs and disappears. 97.5% natural.
BABY BEE DIAPER OINTMENT: A must have. Don't put artificial ingredients and fragrances on baby's most delicate areas. This cream is thick and healing. I usually only have to use it once or twice to take care of any redness. It's featured ingredient is sweet almond oil. Pthalate and paraben-free. 100% natural. Their Bundle of Joy Basket is the perfect shower gift for a new mom.
Two more things I love about Burt's Bees is that they list all the ingredients on their packaging and on their website. If you are more educated than me on natural ingredients, you will appreciate this too. Also, almost all of their product lines offer a trial size package. That way you can try several of the products for a lower cost and decide which ones you like and which ones work for you.
