I'M PREGNANT...SINCE AGE 12!

There is a lot of information and education about publishing, marketing, and promoting your book.  This is the best stuff I've shifted through, learned and continue learning on the road to the birth of my forthcoming bestseller, "Notes From the MotherShip ~ Naked Invisibles." The birthday or rather month of publication is September 2007.  So far, the birth month has changed about 6 times, folks!

This is the saga of me authoring and publishing my book and all the stuff that goes into it. I have to tell you that I am or rather I was using a timeline for publication offered by a colleague in the National Speakers Association, Doug Smart. I heard Doug speak at our NSAOhio chapter meeting in November of 2006. I was absolutely inspired and empowered by him to own my own publishing company, follow his 'Timeline for Publishing Your Book in Four Months.' Until then, naively, I thought I had to follow suite and try to get a big publishing house to accept me or self-publish through one of the myriad small independent publishing houses. I actually, looked at Doug and said, "You mean I can do this?" It seemed so out of the realm of possibly for me at that time. Doug offers 17 steps to publishing your book in just 4 months. So, I thought why not?!

In January 2007, I started the process. (Actually, the manuscript was started mentally about 40 years ago. So, I'm a little slow). Also, I took the month of November which is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo.com), whereby in the company of thousands worldwide you attempt to write 50,000 words of your novel, manuscript or whatever within that time period. The process is a great experience. Some writers have become authors thru a offering in some years from www.Lulu.com to publish their manuscript free. Anyway, NaNoWriMo is an informative community of writers, authors and resources. Ahh, the resources!
I worked on finding the perfect name for MY publishing company. I thought of naming the enterprise after my children, and then no. I thought of: Ford, Chase & Wunderlick, Ford & Wunderlick (I'll explain the Wundelick in a minute!), Guilford, Chase & Wunderlick, and a host of other names. Now, the Wunderlick name (which I think is sooo cool) came from the news of a woman somewhere and about something and her last name was 'Wunderlick!' How often do you hear a name like that? Exactly! So, it became mine. My publishing company is named "CHASE & WUNDERLICK PUBLISHERS,
