I remember a guy in my old neighborhood (I'll call him Butch to protect the innocent). Butch was a pretty good businessman. I think he owned a construction company, a bakery, restaurant and a few other successful businesses.

One day he called a few of us young guys over to share some wisdom. I won't use his colorful language :-) but basically from what I can remember he told us that we need to have an income stream for every responsibility & expense of life if we wanted to get ahead of the game. Now for some people that translates as a part time J-O-B. Just Over Broke. Personally I think he meant start a recession proof business. One that pays you during good times and tough ones too.

People are marketing products and services on the internet everyday (and night too). Whether its $20 dollars every day or $2000 dollars every day, extra income is alright! The good thing about passive income is it comes to you whether you're working or not. With all the talk about our economy nowadays I get the feeling that no knight in shining armour (or congressman in a blue suit) is coming to give me or you the hook up.
