Ebay Feedback and DSR Detailed Seller Ratings

Due to the new changes in Feedback system I would like to share some information with you.
If your a Seller I am sure you already know this information as well as I.
As a Buyer you may not understand the full impact of Feedback and DSR to your Seller.

It has been very dis-heartening to see the low DSR ratings left for Sellers. (OK I know a few out there deserve them and their history of feedback will show this) When you leave anything less then 5 with out contacting your Seller about an issue Your Seller's Fees paid to eBay go UP. This will eventually be passed onto you the Buyer in the way of Higher priced items and Higher shipping fees.

Trust me we have a good idea when those stars are affected. It shows on our system and it shows in the Fees eBay charges us that will eventually have to be passed onto You.

Why would any one mark less then 5 stars for Exact Shipping or a small handling fee. Packing supplies must be purchased, labels printed and trips to post office. You agree to the price when you purchase the item - if they are not good shipping and handling fees look for less expensive fees.

Why would Anyone mark less then 5 for FREE shipping?

If your item arrived with in 7 days why would you mark less then perfect?
Check the date on your package. Overnight shipping is extremely expensive but it is always an option if you ask your Seller.
If that package was shipped with in the time frame your Seller promised Why would you leave less then 5 stars?

Communication - How many emails would you like sent to consider transactions 5 star communication? This is a 2 way street - We love communication also. Please let us know when payment is sent if via snail mail. Please tell us if your having issues and payment may be delayed a few days. We will respect you, we hope you will also respect us. Did your item arrive safely or did the post office keep it? Did they drop kick it to your door? (I have received packages that I swear they ran over with a tank) Did you like it?

For all us Sellers we apologize that often items may not be the same colour as they appeared on your screen. They may be smaller or larger then the pictures looked. We are truly sorry if they didn't fit as well as you had hoped. If size/measurements are not stated - Ask. If your unsure colour - Ask

eBay is taking those stars and turning them into $$ for eBay The lower your star rating the more eBay gets.
If this is your intention then by all means - make eBay rich and mark those stars down.

If you want to keep seeing Great prices on Great items with Very Low or No shipping and Handling Fees Mark them 5 stars for your seller!

I would like to keep offering my items at Very Low Cost and often Free shipping but this depends on the New Star System. Every time an item sells eBay takes a portion of that sale. Every time a Payment is Made Paypal (eBay owns this too) takes another fee.

If your feedback is a Glowing Positive then your stars should be too. If you have an issue Contact your Seller. How can a Seller improve if we don't know your issue. You can't get a negative from Sellers so why not let us know what your issue is? eBay wants this kept private for some reason - sounds like my teenagers at one time... I never heard the whole story.

Don't punish your Seller because eBay chooses ratings that should be left for postal workers.

We the Sellers work very hard to find an item, be it new, used, old or antique. Maybe Unique Maybe one of millions. For us it is a special item that delighted us and we hope you enjoy it too.
New items are stored and wait for you to find them.
Old items are cleaned, maybe repaired and also kept in safe keeping.
Antique items are coveted and hoarded till you convince us to share.
We list with many pictures and detailed descriptions as best we can. There are notices all over the listing for you to ASK QUESTIONS - We LOVE to answer emails!
Items are packaged as best as they can be. We can not personally drive the item to you - you would never pay the fees for that! We have to trust the post office as much as you do.
But I am more than willing if you wish to pay the fare!
Most Sellers will ship your item with in 24 hours (or next business day if a weekend). Some Sellers state only certain shipping days - trust me in the long run this will save You the Buyer $$ in fees we don't have to charge to drive to the Post each day.

5 Stars is your best way to say Thank You to your seller and No Thank You to higher fees
