He was once a bartender-musician and now he is one step away in being the NEXT AMERICAN IDOL!!

He stumbled upon the American Idol auditions by chance since he was only there to accompany his brother Andrew for an audition. Cook says that a producer came to him and asked him if he was going to audition and before he knew it, he was inside the room with Randy, Paula and Simon.

Cook sang "Living on a prayer" by Bon Jovi for his audiion piece and he got the three judges to agree on a "Yes"!

He also gave justice to the song "Everything I do", but it seemed that it wasn't very convincing enough for Simon. Haha. When he sang Lionel Richies song "Hello", that's when he impresed Simon. =)

Cook stand out in the crowd when he sang his version of "Always be my baby" by Mariah Carey. everyone loved it. The crowd. The Americans. The judges.

A lot of people wanted to buy it on youtube already. =)

Last week, Syesha Mercado got eliminated from Idol and left the crowd with the two of the best singer of this years batch. People all over america now needs to decide who is deserving of the title!
