Depeche Mode - Real Music

Ranked #12,313 in Music, #337,367 overall

Electronic music was considered to be any music created with the use of electronic musical instruments or electronic processing, but today, that distinction has been lost and the majority of live music performances, depend on extensive use of electronics.

Depeche Mode is an electronic music band formed in 1980, in England. They are one of the most enduring and successful bands to have emerged during the new wave/new romantic era. First in music was used synthesizers, they began their existence as a bouncy dance-pop outfit but gradually developed a darker, more dramatic sound, this gave success. The group's original line-up was Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, chief songwriter after 1981), Andrew Fletcher (keyboards) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, chief songwriter 1980-81). Vince Clarke left the band after the release of their 1981 debut album, and was replaced by Alan Wilder (lead keyboards, production 1982-1995). Since Wilder's departure, Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher have continued as a trio.

Dave Gahan:
Dave Gahan was born in 1962 May 9, Epping town (later moved to Basildon) United Kingdom Sylvia and Len family, which was three children encore. His mother soon split with her husband and married a second time. He left the family when the son was not yet seven, and the mother's third husband was "a sadist" (as Dave thought). D. Gahab hate and fear his stepfather, he added to his boots nails... After some time his stepfather suicided at home site. In July 1978 he gave up school and started to ride on the London clubs. He worked as cleaners zoo and he received money to beverages and drugs. Dave is happy just singing Tonio Bergson Group "Vermin". Once time after the concert, a very strange guy came to Dave. He is presented as Martin Gore, told that he sails in the songs and the group. He offered to Gahan to be a vocalist. So he started to work with Depeche Mode.

Martin Lee Gore:
In childhood Martin was retiring, had only a few friends, but most of the time spent in her room reading fairy tales. In school time, Martin was a very good language. 1977, graduated from St.. Nicholas general education school and started working in a bank cashier. Evenings, weekends and other free time was devoted to his local group. He spent his salary for the new musical equipment. Martin Lee Gore joined of Depeche Mode at the beginning of it history - 1980. In the same year, the group suddenly leaving the main song creator Vince Clark, he took the songs of the development activities, as to protect the group from the breakdown.

Andrew John Fletcher:
Fletcher has been married to Grainne for 14 years and has two children, Megan and Joe. Fletcher parents are Joy and John. He has three siblings; Susan, Karen and Simon, and is the eldest. Fletcher has never been a leading musician in the group, but more of a manager, where his strong points lie. He is also the only member that has never written a song for the band although it is
indicated in one interview that he had attempted it in the past. Although it has been a topic of confusion for many fans, Fletcher has stated that he plays bass in Depeche Mode; programmed on the synthesizer, in addition to electric bass as played on the Songs of Faith and Devotion album. He can also be seen playing keyboards live and in rehearsal videos.

Depeche Mode debuted with the song "Photographic" in 1980. After it a group created three new singles. A debut Depeche Mode album "Speak and Spell" was released in 1981, he was successful. However, when Depeche Mode began success songwriter Clarke unexpectedly went out of four that along with singer Alison Moyet created the group "Yazoo.". Future of the groups could be destroyed, but George started to make songs. New album has been created in 1982 ("A broken frame"). Immediately after the year was released new CD "Construction time again". Lyrics were full of melancholy and spiritual doubt. "Some great reward" (1984), "Black celebration" (1986), "Violator" (1990), this is others albums. When the 10th was the beginning of the alternative music boom, Depeche Mode emerged as one of the most successful groups in the world, and the 1993 s the album "Songs of Faith & Devotion" debuted at the top. 1995 the group was left, one of the founders, Wilder, and Gahan attempted suicide. The other album ("Ultra") was released only in 1997, but the wait was worth. Songs "Barrel of a Gun" and "It's No Good" became the biggest hits. After these albums a group released other, it was "Exciter" (2001) and "Playing the Angel" (2005).
