I'm looking for some great on-topic lenses to add to my lensroll on this lens and for the featured lens modules. Have you got a lens about writing advice? It took me a long time to realize I am me. I believe it's a carry over from youthful magical thinking. When I quit trying to be somebody else, I fare much better. Love your article!

I graduated from high school and went off to college thinking I could become a new person in this new environment. What you say proved to be true, "you can never be anyone other than who you were born to be". Glad I learned it 40 years ago. I thoroughly enjoy being quirky weird and even boring sometimes ME.

AWK! a side effect of the server change hi this lens as well! All the punctuation marks have been turned into weird random gibberish! ick! Now I have go edit this lens back to normal too! oh well, eventually I'll get caught up on this, I just hope Squidoo doesn't do any more major switch things that result in so many errors on my lenses again!

I hope all beginning writers, and even experienced ones read your lens. Being yourself and finding your own voice is the only way to reach your full potential. The road to finding your voice may be long, hard, and full of not so great work, but the end is magnificent.

Hi- You gave me a message I needed to hear today. Lately I've been self conscious of the simple nature of my writing. I started a blog in which I write like I speak and then I was appalled to read other much more sophisticated blogs. Horrors! Now I can relax after finding this. Thanks.
