A popular myth is that stress itself causes acne. In actuality, hormones are stirred up by stress, and hormones can result in an acne outbreak. This misconception causes a lot of people to actually feel guilty about being worried or concerned about something. They end up beating themselves up, thinking that they are causing their own skin condition. Please, do not ever think that. Truthfully, the negative effect of stress is nothing next to the positive effect of a good skin care regimen. In fact, if you can find a product which simultaneously acts like a preventative measure, then you are golden.

Treatments For Your Acne

And guess what? The second product in Murad's acne treatments, the Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel, does just that. It heals the bumps and pimples you already have, while at the same time preventing new breakouts from forming. Not only that, but it actually penetrates deep into your pores to clean the debris out of them, and it removes the build up of dry skin cells. Normally, you might worry that such a deep cleanser would cause irritation, but none of the products in these Acne Kits are irritants. The gel also soothes your skin as it cleanses, heals, and protects it, so you will not have to fear pain and inflammation. Plus, face it, worrying about that is a cause of stress in and of itself.

Amazingly, there is an inexplicably common relief that masturbation and intercourse causes acne. This antiquated belief is indeed centuries' old. To be precise, it was introduced sometime in the seventeenth century. It was meant to act as a deterrent in keeping youngsters chaste and virtuous. Still, there are people who still take it as the gospel, but that is not at all necessary.

Almost as mind boggling is the notion that the sun will heal your acne. And, all right, it is true that the sun can clear up your blemishes - but only in the short term. The long term effects are definitely not worth the risk. In truth, the sun does not clear up your skin so much as make your own pigmentation darker. While your blemishes may get a little better, they are mostly blending in with your sun reddened skin. In the long term, the sun can dry out your skin and severely irritate it. Needless to say, this inevitably makes your acne even worse. Furthermore, this method frequently makes your skin break out further as it heals from the damage caused by the sun. There is little worse than dealing with a painful sunburn and an inflamed outbreak at the same time.

Truthfully, it is absolutely imperative that you keep your skin moisturized and hydrated. Unfortunately, many acne treatments either do not realize this importance, or they try to compensate for the abrasiveness of their products by packing them with oil. That way, instead of drying out your skin, they are just making your already sebum heavy skin that much oilier. This makes it almost impossible to find a good moisturizer if you have acne - until now. The third product in the Acne Complex line, the Skin Perfecting Lotion, calms any redness and irritation you have - and it does so without clogging your pores, because it is completely oil free!
