Adelaide and South Australia are cultural diverse and I can humbly say that many things have been invented and started for the rest of Australia and world to follow suit from South Australia, Adelaide or by Adelaidians.
Adelaide is often referred to as a 'large country town' and a market gardeners paradise. It has been and is the host of many world class events.
Adelaide was designed by Colonel William Light in 1836, with its city centre laid out on a square mile grid, wide streets surrounded by 930 hectares of parklands and hence Adelaide's clean air.
City attractions are within walking distance for most.

He sailed into a gulf, naming it "Spencer's Gulf" and after Earl Spencer, first Lord of Admirality.
Along his voyage, Flinders also named;
