Best known for the 6 million acre Adirondack State Park, featuring 46 "High Peaks" dominated by Mt. Marcy at 5,344 feet, New York's highest point. Nice work overall, only problem is it's not a "State Park".
The APA was created making the area in the blueline (sort of) a park in principle, but it's actually a forest preserve. NYS Parks Dept has no legal rights in the park, which is controlled/patrolled by the NYS-DEC.
