The Adonis Index - Working The Body to the Ideal Shape

Ranked #1,704 in Healthy Living, #33,357 overall

Just What Is the Adonis Index?

There exists in nature a specific ratio or proportion that people just happen to find naturally pleasing to the human eye.

It can be found in almost all forms of life, in art, in math and in science.

It can be found in the construct of a seashell, or creations by man such as the Great Pyramids or The Parthenon.

It is called The Golden Ratio.

In mathematics it is commonly referred to as the Fibonacci number, or the ratio of 1:1.6

When this ratio is applied to the human body, the authors of this workout call it the Adonis Effect.

Creators of this Workout have developed a formula for building an ideally proportioned body. They assert that women will find a man most attractive when his body is at its ideal shape and size. A guy who is closer to his ideal proportions will also enjoy the respect and admiration of other men, allowing him to climb the social ladder faster.

The formula they created measures three areas of the human body: a man's height, his shoulders and his waist. Using this as a starting point, they developed a workout plan to help a man reach his ideal shape.

They call it The Adonis Index.

Researchers have developed a new fitness workout.

Fitness experts John Barban and Brad Pilon have announced that they have come up with a way to measure and build the perfect male body. They claim to have come up with a way to to get bigger only in the right places and lose inches where you need to, in order to build the ideally proportioned male, and have called this system the "The Adonis Workout."

"Research shows that women will find a man most attractive when his body is at its ideal shape and size" says co-creator of the program Brad Pilon. "A guy who is closer to his ideal proportions will also enjoy the respect and admiration of other men, allowing him to climb the social ladder faster."

Classic sculptors such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michaelangelo knew of and used these principles for centuries to create the greatest representations of the ideal male form. Over time, this concept has been forgotten. "We rediscovered the ratios of perfect proportions, and by applying them to modern exercise and physical attraction research, we developed the Adonis Index Workout", adds Brad Pilon.

The result is a mathematical equation that uses three measurements: his height, his shoulders ad his waist. They claim that they can develop a fitness program (the Adonis Index Workout) that will determine each man's ideal body proportions that make him the most attractive to women and more socially dominant. "We call the reaction people have to a guy who is approaching his ideal proportions the Adonis Effect" says author John Barban.

The Adonis Index Workout program consists of both weight lifting exercises and a diet plan that complements the weight training. Smaller sized meals but more of them, spread out evenly throughout the day is the norm.

The Adonis Index Workout Program

Review

This bodybuilding program is based on what is called "The Golden Ratio", which is defined as a specific ratio or proportion that people just happen to find pleasing to the eye and can be found in almost all forms of life.

It is based on the Fibonacci ratio of 1:1.6. When this Ratio is applied to the human body, the authors call it "The Adonis Effect". This proportioned body allegedly is the ideal shape that all women find attractive.

Therefore, the goal of this program, called "The Adonis Workout." program is to increase the appeal of the opposite sex.

This program almost overwhelms you with over 1000 pages of instruction. After the first two manuals, which go into the explanation and the raison d'etre of the program, comes the heart of the system.

It consists of 3 workout programs along with a diet plan to match. They are called the Burn Workout and Diet plan, the Build and Burn Workout and Diet Plan, an the Build Workout and Diet plan, depending on where and how close to the Adonis Effect of proportional shape one starts off with.

That proportional shape is determined at the outset of the program by measuring your height, shoulders and waist. Depending on how near or far one is from this ideal shape when starting the program, determines what Workout Plan you start with.

Each 12 week workout program is composed of daily exercises and eating guides providing what things you can eat during this particular training segment.

One thing that I personally have a hard time accepting, is their belief that long term cardio exercises such as walking or jogging, DECREASE heart and lung capacity, and are not used as part of their exercise routine.

But the workouts themselves seem to be built with a positive progression towards reaching the final goal, and including a meal plan with each workout helps in attaining that goal.

The program has recently been upgraded to a 2.0 version.

All in all, this is a good, well thought out and designed bodybuilding plan. For further information, visit the "The Adonis Workout."

"In His Own Words..."

From John Barban, creator of "The Adonis Index."

Look, when it comes to muscle building, the law of diminishing
returns is really what dicates how much time you should spend
working out.

Put simply, this law states that over time, the more work
you put into a given task returns fewer results until the amount
of work required to progress any further will far outweigh the
result.

Basically, the work and results are not LINEAR in nature.

For example a beginner might get impressive muscle gains from
only doing 5 sets of work on a given muscle per week.

An intermediate lifter might need to do 10-15 sets of work per
week on that same muscle group in order to force it to grow any
further.

An advanced lifter might need 25-35 sets of work per week on that
same muscle just to keep it where it is right now (let alone make
it grow any more if at all).

This is the concept of diminishing returns from your workouts as
you reach your hardline genetic potential for muscle growth.

In fact, anyone who has been working out for more than 10 years
can attest to this exact phenomenon. (even if they're 'roided up!)

There is a limit to the amount of working out you can do before
your body breaks down. The limit will be partly determined by your
age and partly determined by your level of experience lifting
weights.

(Younger people tend to heal faster, however more experienced
lifters can handle more work.)

There is also a genetic limit to the amount of muscle any man
can build on his body. You and I cannot simply workout more and
more often, and with increasingly heavier and heavier weights,
and with dozens of extra sets in order to force our muscles to grow.

(without "chemical" help that is)

This kind of excess will cause you to hit an upper limit that
literally destroys your body.

If you tried this "more is always better" approach, you'd end
up in overtraining with all sorts of acute and chronic injuries,
like muscle tears, joint degeneration, chronic inflammation, tendon
tears, microfractures in your bones, bone calcification and on and
on.

Therefore your goal of maximizing your time and effort spent
working out is to push to the edge of this limit without going over.

And - this is precisely why a well designed workout system is the
key to getting the results you want without wasting your time...

... or worse giving you an injury.

I've built the Adonis Index Systems to push your body to your
muscle building potential as quickly as possible without putting you
over the edge.

My goal for you is to get you in and out of the gym as quickly as
possible, while but making the time spent 100% on target with your
muscle building goals.

I go to the gym for the results it gives me, not because I like
to kill time there... and I'm quite sure you feel the same way...

... right?

So, since we're the same way, if makes sense for you to use the
Adonis Index Systems to speed up your results and free your time
up for the other things that REALLY matter in your life.

Here's where you get your time back:

I think i was just born with a naturally ideal body because my adonix index is already 1.61 without ever trying to do any exercises to improve that number. I have stayed pretty lean for basketball, (i love to dunk) and right now doing these measurements im at about my worst physical fitness level in past years. My shoulders were slightly over 21in, my waist was exactly 13in, and i am 6'2" and weigh about 185ish. guess "all the b!tches love me, all the all the b!tches love me, you aint f**kin' wit my dougie."

I understand that it's called the adonis index, but would this kind of workout be effective for women as well? I'm trying to stay in shape because of all of the reports that I've read about the possibility of a DePuy Pinnacle Recall - a foreseen recall on my hip replacement device. But overall, thanks for sharing!
