Advanced Registry Optimizer allows you to defrag the windows registry. However, I find it difficult to tell the difference before and after defrag! Regcure in the other hand allows you to manage your startup programs, although you can do it using windows utility, it is an extra bonus. I would recommend Regcure for Windows Vista User.

Registry easy provides the most tools, especially for optimizing Windows XP, if you are using Windows XP, this is your choice.

If you are using Vista, I recommend Regcure. However, if you are using Windows XP, Registry Easy is the better choice, as it provides more optimization tools for windows XP.

Is Advanced Registry Optimizer a good program?

Yes, Advanced Registry Optimizer did work well, and it is a rather good program to maintain your windows registry. However, I would recommend Regcure and Registry Easy over it for the reasons below:

1. Regcure - Scan faster, and detects most of the errors Advanced Registry Optimizer does, plus Regcure is proven to fix my Windows for over 24 months without any problems.
2. Registry Easy - Detects the most errors, and remove the most errors entries and free more resources for your computer, plus bundle with a lot of useful tools to tune up your Windows XP, most of the tools will work on Vista as well.

If you really want to invest on a good registry cleaner, try Regcure and Registry Easy, they both have fast response from support, and they work smoothly.

Actually, most of the complaints I heard from the forums and blogs are not real complaints, but rather some over expectation of registry cleaner:

1. Registry Cleaner does not speed up your computer - It just restores the original speed and maintains its' efficiency through removing unwanted registry entries and keep your PC running smooth.
2. Registry Cleaner does not repair your corrupted Windows - It just backup your healthy registry before it breaks, and helps you restore it if your windows corrupted in the future.
3. You don't need a registry cleaner - True, unless you are like me, a heavy computer gamer and enthusiast, who like to play different games and test different software, frequent install and uninstall programs that would heavily polluted the windows registry database!

I don't want to argue with them in the forums, but my experience tells me registry cleaner did help to maintain a smooth and healthy computer! Registry cleaner is not a scam or fraud, but you must know what it can do for you.

My conclusion - Advanced Registry Optimizer is not a scam or fraud, it is just another commercial registry cleaner that doesn't worth paying...

Although I personally prefer Regcure and Registry Easy. However, Advanced Registry Optimizer did have some benefits:

1. Advanced Registry Optimizer detects the most ActiveX errors, it has a higher chance to repair your corrupted registry. However, I don't really recommend you "repair" your registry, backup your data and perform a reinstall of the Operating system is a better choice.



2. Advanced Registry Optimizer can defrag your fragmented registry. However, I don't seem to feel the difference...

And by the way, if you downloaded Advanced Registry Optimizer from zoombli, you computer may be infected by malware... According to yahoo search! You should download it from sammsoft directly.
