Google Adwords Tips
Once you have a website you'll want visitors. Getting them from the search engines for free is best, aka organic search, but sometimes you have to pay for the visitors, aka pay-per-click search. And when you do, you most likely will want to use Google Adwords, the big daddy of the pay per click search engien marketing world.
So what follows is a short (growing) collection of tips to do with Google Adwords, that can probably be applied to other pay-per-click search engines. Adwords is arguably the most powerful form of advertising ever invented in terms of targeting, testing and speed of response, but it is still possible to waste lots of money!

My Adwords Tips
- Do keyword research. Invest in suitable keyword research software that helps you understand the best keywords to target and which ones to avoid
- Use misspellings. People make 'spilling' mistakes all the time, sometimes because they typed it in wrong and sometimes because they just don't know how to spell the word; e.g. Brittany Spears!. Keyword research tools can help you generate misspellings
- Create landing pages. Adwords professionals create landing pages that very closely match the Adwords campaign. So it is much better to create 100 landing pages for 100 keywords than 1 landing page for 100 keywords. Slower, yes, but much more effective, relevant and cheaper (per click)
- Learn all you can know about Google Adwords from people like Perry Marshall, Andrew Goodman or via Adwords training courses
- If you don't want to learn about Adwords then use the services of a qualified Google Advertising professional (preferably one that wants to save you money rather than earn themselves a percentage of your spend)
