First Aid Guide to Making Money Online

As you research, pick the site that best reflects your comprehension level, and stop surfing other websites. My advice for this is simple, if you can become comfortable learning from one Affiliate Marketing website, master that first, then move to another. I did the big mistake of looking at a lot of sites and trying to map them all together...hence confusion! I found the websites Wealthy Affiliate and site-build-it-learning gave me the most basic information. I am currently a student and just in the first few weeks of class. I have already attempted a Squidoo Lens and the basics for setting up a website of my own and earning money at home!

Click on both Wealthy Affiliate and site-build-it They offer a TON of great information for the newbie in affiliate marketing. If your just starting out, I HIGHLY recommend both! At Wealthly Affiliate, you can use their rubix website, which is integrated into the low cost. Not only are you learning, but you also get to learn how to build your website, without the haggle of learning HTML (yea, you don't even want to begin learning that - right out of the gate)! At site build it, they are reknown for their incredibly easy website builds but just recently, they started awesome e-learning modules that take you step-by-step!!!

Although, you only need one, I gave gained so much knowledge off both. I feel it is reassurance that the tools I am learning are coming from two highly recommended sites. I have built so much trust and confidence in using these sites. Again, your hearing this from someone once very skeptical, so I invite you to click on these links and find out for yourself. They will guide you in the right direction and won't leave you hanging.

A great free tip I'd like to share is take every term you don't understand, such as RSS, and write the definition down on a notepad. I built my own dictionary and built my knowledge and confidence little by little. But don't be afraid to surf many sites to broaden your definitions, it will only help give you another perspective of the word. My point is to not try to master the whole site, just try to key in on developing your definitions.

As a health-care provider, these words (among many others) are very overwhelming and confusing. Every "how to" article, ebook, book or website, I reviewed, felt like I should already know something about internet marketing. Where is the "hand - holding" instruction manual? I've found so many experienced, well rounded authors, but I think that is the problem, they are too advanced for the very basic. If I told someone, who is not in health care, to consider "metabolic acidosis", would they know what I'm talking about? So, how can these "how to" sites simply tell me to create a "landing page" or a "domain name"? First what is it? Is this before or after my website is built, or do I even need one? What is an auto-responder? Do you write articles before or after you have a blog, site or squidoo? Where is all this coming from, UGH! I feel I'm hemorrhaging! I want to make money easy, without headaches, although, I am ready to dedicate time, and efforts, I don't want to get motrin every 8 hours.

They do a fantastic job in spelling out the what and the hows of building your website. I like the fact that you can email the instructors for customized answers to your questions, rather than some automated response that is generic.

After signing up for Wealthy Affiliate, I learned about Squidoo. Although, the beginning of the set up was relatively simple, learning how to put in pictures and hyperlinks were a little challenging for me. So, if you want to add hyperlinks (which are the underscored words/phrases I have in this lens, go to easyhyperlinks.com. That was my big, AHA moment.

I added pictures (free) by downloading bing.com/images to "my pictures". I then hit browse on the lens and upload photo, bang, there it was! Cool!

Even if you haven't read this, it is true, you don't need a website. You can earn money online in a number of ways. I currently don't have a website, although, I do think one is very beneficial and I'm working on one now. I first started here, on Squidoo, this is my first lens. site-build-it offers you the opportunity to work at your own pace, and has a real cute stick figured tutorial (if your a visual person like myself) while Wealthy Affiliate sets up your learning on a weekly basis. New learning materials are "accessed" only once a week. At first, this was a turn off, as I wanted to learn everything NOW, but inretrospect, I'm glad it held off extra courses, as I was forced to learn more about more of the basics, and the amazing free tools they provide.

The confusion set in for me, when I read "just create a hoplink", What are they talking about? Then cloak it? Huh? Forget the bandaid, I think I need stitches!!!

So, to help you understand, if you go to clickbankmarket place. com and register your information, they will give you a hoplink. This hoplink provides a tracking to the sale and gives you the credit for recommending their product. I did find that ClickBank does require you to register a website. *Write articles, check out ezine articles
*Write in blogs, check out goggles blogger (its free)
*Write in forums, you can join any forum of your interest
*PPC Advertising, you do need to pay for this, so I don't recommend it early on, unless you don't have a budget. But then again, why learn affiliate marketing if money is no object?

Don't just pick the highest paid vendors, pick reputable products, preferrably ones your experienced with, as your reputation is critical, especially just starting out (first impressions!)

I have read over and over again the importance of traffic. However, what good is traffic if your not collecting names? Did you know it takes approximately 6 visits to your site before there is one sale? So, use a opt - in page. What is this? Simple, it is a little box that asks the visitor to put in their email address. You can also offer a newsletter, free article, etc in exchange for their basic information (called a squeeze page). Making money online can be enormous, but like anything in life, time, knowledge and patience is essential.
