Well, I am back with going forward on the journey
of making money on the Internet after retirement.
The Spring is here, and we have been college shopping
for Melissa. My motivation to make more money has grown exponentially because of the cost of college.
... my learning curve on Internet marketing is growing and I am sorting out the programs that are worth the time and money to build into making money, also, RESIDUAL income.
After ALL the foreplay and shopping programs here and there for the past year, I am ready to make a major change in my mindset...could it be that we have not found the success we seek online because we ARE still shopping?
My mentor has made a statement that there are only two roads in this industry for you to take. There are many different paths moving out from each of the major two roads, with many stops along the way on both. It is simple to recognize what road you are on by the actions you are consistently taking.
The two roads cannot be directly named, since they both have many different facets, but the best way to explain them is this way%u2026.
You are either in someone's sales funnel or YOU operate the sales funnel. The rest you will have to figure out for yourself."
When people come online looking to make money somehow, and better themselves financially, they immediately fall into the consumer or shopper category. There really is no place else
for them to go.
They are looking and trying to decide how to reach their goals of earning extra money or in building a business. If you honestly look at all of the products and services out there being advertised, they are catering to "shoppers"%u2026those who
have no clue what they wish to do except that they would like to earn tons of money doing something other than what they are doing. But at some point, they have to make a decision%u2026to BUILD a business and not just keep shopping for something year after year.
I am afraid that this shift from consumer to producer, or shopper to business owner is so subtle of a shift that many simply miss it, never consciously make it, and thus continue to jump around from one thing to another, like they are buying groceries or other consumable products.
Make no mistake about it%u2026The "Make Money Online" thing IS an industry. It has a consumable product and a commodity for sale. There is no shortage of "products" out there to buy. It is no different than shopping for anything else at the store.
Marketers create and produce products for people to buy and consume. The "Internet Marketing" industry or "home business" industry is an industry, with products for people to consume%u2026 and consume they will, over and over again until they don't even know that this is all they are doing.
So, how does one make that shift? I think my mentor,
in one way said it best. I think one needs to consistently get in the habit of asking themselves whether they are in someone's sales funnel or not, first. Get out of everyone else's sales funnels and start to focus on building YOUR business. Sure, it may take some "shopping" at first to find out exactly what you want to do%u2026 affiliate markting, network marketing etc.
BUT, once you make the mental shift from consumer to
producer - from shopper ot business owner, the Internet does not seem like such a cold and hard place to navigate anymore.
So where are you at currently? How can you make this
shift? Are you daily adding to the growth of your own
business or just shopping around, waiting for the next possible money extravaganza?
Only you can decide this since it requires brutal honesty with oneself.

Well, I am back with going forward on the journey
of making money on the Internet after retirement.
The fall is here, teens are back in school, thank God.
... my learning curve on Internet marketing is growing
and the money is actually starting to come to my PayPal
account. It is fun to open your account everyday and find
a new amount in the account. My goal is to pursue more
regular deposits.. so lets get busy. Also, my daughter is
looking at colleges...$45,000 per year and my son is
right behind her, well as a retired person I need to
really accelerate the learning curve
with this Internet marketing.
The whole secret as I am finding out and refining all
my efforts is the search engine and keywords. If they
ca not find you they cannot purchase. The other issue
is when they find you will they purchase or (conversion
rate), there are many click throughs or ADIOS.
In the meantime I am as most people doing the affiliate
route to learn and make interim money. Waht I found is an
interesting package deal to make you feel like you can do

Now I am really proud of these two bloggs because
they are bringing results or visitors.
What I found was what others were telling me that bloggs
are easier and faster to manipulate to get the search
engines to index your site resulting in traffic. Now
we need to work on MORE TRAFFIC because as like every
marketing effort it comes down to numbers. The more
the better or a chance at a sale. It is interesting
when you hear others talk about traffic they imply
that it is easy as when you read all this stuff it is
supposed to happen. I am here to tell you, you have
to make it happen, you have to write the blog with
content that the search engines will say TAG. Also,
the keywords are very significant. True story, I had
all the greatest keywords going for me, however,
the greatest keywords belong to the gurus or the pro's.
We NEWBIES cannot compete with those guys as I told you
the adwords almost ate my budget and the results were
not a good return on investment. The keywords we can
compete with are similar and are searched for but less
times. This is not bad because they still bring traffic
and sometimes a sale. My goal is to get CONSISTENCY of
traffic and sale and later compete with the BIG GUYS..
In summary,submitting articles and doing Bloggs to establish
links. This submitting articles etc... is really payingg
off and not costly. I have some tools that are helping with
the submitting. REMEMBER,that links and back links help,
however, Google Search Engine is BIG on CONTENT, CONTENT,
and more CONTENT. So on with getting more content with
articles etc....if you want more info regarding submit

The summer is fun, however, going fast.... my learning
curve on Internet marketing is growing and the money
is actually starting to come to my PayPal account.
It is fun to open your account everyday and find a
new amount in the account. My goal is to pursue more
regular deposits.. so lets get busy.
To continue with the case study for the dog website

We are stumbling around 714,000 position, After all
the marketing effort WE HAVE AN ORDER... here again we
need to keep duplicating what we have I think that
finally we are gettingmore ranking from the search engines.
I have been struggling with learning search engine
optimization (boring like taxes but worth the effort).
There are a couple of tricks that make a big difference.
REMEMBER, your plan and approach is a little different
if you have a website or if you are affiliate or
working with website someone provided and controls and
you promote. An important NOTE, regarding Google or YAHOO
or any click or adword...learn it well before youspend
much money or it will eat your lunch. I do not think at
this point I am ready for what I tried...it cost me. I
forgot to adjust my budget with Google and YAHOO and
it cos me dearly as a runaway situation..OUCH..OUCH..OUCH.

Well, I am back with going forward on the journey of making money on the Internet
after retirement. Some updates as it is the end of June 07; the 16 year got a great
summer job with a real estate investment firm because of her communication and
computer skills, and the 14 year old is sort of working with me on home projects
and the computer business as described in these articles. The 3 year old black
Lab (Duke) finally fell in love with the 3 month old called (Dutchess). Very
lively household and the 3 month old lab is much work to train.
To continue with the case study for the dog website we are making progress
http://www.DogGiftCreations.com. We are stumbling around 828,000 position, however,
there is a URL search called http://www.whois.domaintool.com implies that we have
arrived at the 500,000 area. The orders NOT received and traffic levels does not
validate that claim to fame at this time...more reserach ....I need to get
to around 400,000 or less to be able to make a sale. The process I used to get
rated and indexed was Google adwords,Yahooo pay per click. At the moment my daily
budget is $30/day. If I increase the budget to $50 or $100/day I would get better
results. However, I need to do other things before I buy my way...such as establishing
back links and digging deeper with the keywords to pay less for a click.. I am also
submitting articles and doing Bloggs to establish links. Since then I found out that
links and back links help, however, Google Search Engine is BIG on CONTENT, CONTENT,
and more CONTENT. So on with getting more content with articles etc....
Another secret that I am working on is to create a LIST of emails etc... this is
where the gold is... more as I uncover the secret and find tools.

It is interesting my training in martial arts over many years
consistently kept emphasizing that you need to train your mind and body at the same
time. Our society either focuses one or the other…most of the gyms or health
franchises focus on being part of the beautiful people with tight buns and abs;
and forgetting about the mind.
Case in point have you ever tried to have a meaningful conversation, oh well;
I am not trying to generalize. My point is that in business it is no different, you
need to prep yourself mentally and physically to be effective and achieve your goals
in a timely manner.
I ran across some free information a course that will help you as it is helping me to
identify, focus, energize and efficiently achieve my goals. Please go to the following site

interesting and beneficial 33 days to develop the habits and techniques to accomplish.
Also, I am finding that to stay within my budget, and most of it is for driving traffic,
there is much good information available. There is some basic software I purchased to make
life easy, after all it is automation we are talking about, not MANUAL automation.
As we go further with my journey, I will be providing very specific steps and or case
studies and tools to use. I have to say that so far it has been a very exciting
journey;I have been getting exposure and traffic, however, it is time to TEST,
TEST and more test to see why I have the traffic but NO SALE as of this writing. Previously,
as I stated, I will be sharing specific examples and case study as I put them together
and understand the value to you.

I am documenting my journey after retirement from a challenging fun career to making money on line with affiliate programs. The intent is to show that a person with limited or adequate knowledge of computers and the Internet can in a reasonable time and limited budget make a profit or even support the lifestyle of a 14 and 16 year old TEENS approaching college. It is my intention to pursue showing which affiliate programs are worth what the GURUS are saying profitable and duplicateable????

Well, I am back with going forward on the journey of making money on the Internet
after retirement. Sorry for being missing with summer starting the 16 and 14 year
old are out of school, there goes my quiet time with retirement. Also, we had to
put the 14 year old Labrador to sleep, and replaced it with a 3 month old girl
puppy (black Lab). So we have a 3 year old black Lab (Duke) and a 3 month old
called (Dutchess). Very lively hoeshold.
The above events help to build my case study as I have been working on a website
specializing in dog gifts. http://www.DogGiftCreations.com. I have put much
effort to go from 6,126,721 position on Alexa site to 912,000.....I need to get
to around 400,000 or less to be able to make a sale. The process I used to get
