Handcrafted Ethnic Jewelry from Afghanistan

Afghani, or Afghan, jewelry, made by various ethnic groups in Afghanistan, consists largely of hand-worked silver inset with semi-precious gemstones such as lapis lazuli, carnelian, or agates. Occasionally the silver bears a thin gold wash.
It is very similar in style to the works of the neighboring Turkoman(aka Turkmen) people.

Having recently discovered the art of Afghani tribal jewelry and become a collector (there are a surprising number of retail sources across the internet), I am eager to share my discovery with you.

Please click on the pieces which interest you for more information on their background and availability.
