A penny for your thoughts...

From the lens Harriet, the African Angel.

I would be happy to know if the story of Harriet impressed you as much as it impresses me. And of course, any other kind of comment is more than welcome, too!

This is a wonderful story and tribute, thank you for taking the time to share it. I appreciate the story you shared on the soap scraps lens about the soap project charity, too. Wonderful what people do for one another that we don't know about unless someone tells us. Blessed and added to the "Just because I liked it" list on Diet and Nutrition Squid Angel

Hi, stopped to visit again. I love the woven kente cloths, would love to see them and feel them. The colors are so beautiful. I recently made a new lens to help the children in Haiti after the earthquake. It feels good to do my part to help. Lol, I'm using a picture of my 5 year old granddaughter as my poster-child. ~ Best wishes!
  • Quirina Jan 19, 2010 @ 2:09 am | delete
Hi Tipi, am very glad to have you revisit! Please leave the link of the new lens you made to support Haiti... In the wealth of your lenses that one is not so easy to figure out ;) ...and I can see that you set quite a number of your lenses to support Haiti. Very nice idea! I'd love to find out which one is the new one, though... :)

Thank you, Cajean! The Noah's Ark project you represent and African Angel have a lot in common, and so I added your lens to my featured lenses module. Hope this will send some traffic your way!

Holli, this is extremely cool! Yes, you can visit! I checked back with them, and the best way seems to be that you contact the German office at info@african-angel.de and arrange a visiting date with them.

It would be really nice if you come back to this page after your visit and share your impressions. You can also email me, if you like. Greetings to Accra!
  • Holli May 3, 2009 @ 4:16 pm | delete
Where in Accra is the home? Do they take visitors? I am a Canadian based in Accra for the past 12 years and would like to see the good work they are doing.

  • casablancajen Apr 26, 2009 @ 9:47 am | delete
This is a really great story, I worked in a small school in Uganda which had similar aims. It's great to be able to make a big difference, even to a small number of people. Who knows what they'll go on to do! Lensrolled this on Breast Cancer in Africa. I'll have a look through my old books and see if we've got anything suitable for the library.

Yes, the story of Harriet has impressed me deeply.

If she can do all she is doing with so little money,
why can't I do more with mine?

I resolve to be more generous from now on.
