This PC game adaptation of her Murder on the Orient Express book has new twists and turns, you play a new character that helps Hercule Poirot investigate the murder of a fellow passenger and Poirot's voice-over is performed by the inimitable David Suchet.

One of THE best of Christie's novels
Agatha Christie's classic Murder on the Orient Express is a whodunit aboard the famous luxurious steam train The Orient Express. World renowned sleuth Hercule Poirot has just successfully completed a case in Istanbul and is now returning to London by the Orient Express.But a rock slide traps the train in the remote mountains, the Orient and its passengers are stranded with no hope of rescue for the foreseeable future. Not only this, but it is discovered that one of the passengers, a rather unlikeable character, has been murdered in his sleep. With no chance of anyone having gotten on or off the train in this desolated spot, this can only mean one thing: the murderer is still on the train, and it is up to Hercule Poirot to find him.

Summary of the Murder on the Orient Express Game- This Agatha Christie PC Game is based on her well-known original story with a few notable exceptions: 1. Poirot is injured when the train is hit by the avalanche and so as a train employee and keen amateur sleuth you play the part of Antoinette and aid Poirot by gathering clues and questioning suspects. 2. The game ending is a slight twist to the original story.
- This Agatha Christie game does well to capture the book's atmosphere and has well-cast voice-over actors, especially of course with David Suchet as Poirot.
- As Antoinette, you must go through the train looking for clues, searching the sleeping compartments and dining car.
- You must look for vital clues amongst the passports, fingerprints and footprints.
- You must also question the passengers and to get a list of suspects. Then cross-examine them on their whereabouts at the time of the murder, look for possible motives and discover their relationship with the other passengers.
- There are also brain teaser puzzles which include using the inventory of objects you have collected to solve a problem.
- And with Poirot's help you use the info you have gathered to crack this mystery.
Murder on the Orient Express Game Review
Cons: There is quite a lot of dialog and a lot of going up and down the long train to gather clues. Adventure gamers may find this a little repetitive. But you can speed this up by clicking on the train at the top of the screen.Pros: The voice-over actors do a really good job of creating the atmosphere. The story line of the game does follow the original story quite well, with the main difference being the ending. The brain teasers puzzles are good, and some even a bit tricky, and they tie in nicely with the plot.
This is probably more a game for fans of Agatha Christie video games, rather than for adventure game fans in general.

I just came across this page by chance when I was seeing if anyone else had created an Orient Express page like I had planned (mine is http://http://www.Squidoo.com/orientexpressdaytrips). So glad I found it though, because I used to play just like this on a friend's PC but never got around to completing it. I don't know if it's the same murder mystery game, but if it is, now I know I can buy it online, so thanks for sharing!
