Agel and Me and Marketing Merge!

Agel Enterprises is my 6th distributorship - so even though MLM is not rocket surgery or is it brain science, I forget :)
Anyway, I obviously didn't succeed - 5 times!

Here's the deal. I don't like sales and I don't like recruiting. Or at least that's what I once thought. The truth is, I didn't like the way I felt while recruiting. And selling was even worse.

In a word, I had this nagging feeling of being unprofessional. But that has all changed. I love sales, I love recruiting, I love MLM. Why? Because I get it now. We have to become Marketing Merge Professionals. But, I'm getting ahead of myself. Back to my story...

I was not getting rich in the beginning of my MLM career. I was doing what I was taught to do but it certainly wasn't professional marketing. Any marketing professional would cringe hearing how I used to teach my downline to do the same ridiculous pitch.

So why did I keep trying 5 times?? It's because I believe in the business model. Deep down, I just knew it was the best I'd ever seen.

I ran into it for the first time in graduate school. Sure, I'd heard of Amway, Mary Kay, and many others but until I studied the way it works, I was clueless.

Any business student who really studies multi-level marketing gets it. The problem is, as Mike Dillard and others point out, most people in multi-level marketing don't know anything about marketing. At first I didn't either and it cost me - a lot.

Here's what I think. It isn't the stigma of illegal pyramid schemes that gives MLM a bad rep. It's us - those of us in network marketing who harass family and friends with an age old sales pitch, not knowing what real sales people know and not knowing what real marketing is all about - that's the embarassing truth. We, the amateurs in MLM, are the problem.

Thank goodness I did not give up! My belief in the network marketing business model sustained me through the embarrassing amateur hour - make that amateur years.

I NEVER hassel anyone now about my business. Thank goodness Agel Enterprises does not have to suffer because of my past incompetence.

I NEVER chase after anyone like Little Ms. Desperate. Those days are over, praise God.

I literally do praise the Lord every day for my Agel Enterprises business. I'm like fifty-something and I will make more retired than hired! I had an awesome career in nursing and administration, and now in MLM. What a blessing to know that I am promoting the best business model out there as a professional, Renegade Professional. Instead of being part of the problem, I am now part of the solution.

It is so very important to your success and mine that we raise the bar. The one person who is helping me I would say more than any one else is Mike Klingler.
