Agent Provocateur

Agent Provocateur is a well known and rapidly developing UK brand of sexy lingerie. Agent Provocateur Lingerie was started by Joseph Corre and Serena Rees in December 1994, in London's Soho. Their vision for Agent Provocateur Lingerie was to "create an availability of high quality designer lingerie with creative flair to stimulate, enchant and arouse both wearers and their partners." Agent Provocateur now has lingerie shops in 8 European countries, Hong Kong, Dubai, Moscow and four in the USA. Agent Provocateur Lingerie ads have included creative and controversial spots with well known celebreties such as singer Kylie Minogue, model Kate Moss and stripper Dita Von Teese.

But where does the name Agent Provocateur come from? It is a French word to describes an undercover policeman, agent or informant who encourages a group to carry out illegal activities in order to disrupt the group or collect legal evidence against them. In other words, an Agent Provocateur is a type of spy.
