Wonderful lens, Susan...I enjoyed reading it. I'm no baby-boomer, but it's amazing how fast time has been flying. We are all getting older, but hopefully wiser. Healthy living is definitely something to focus on early on in life so as to be able to really enjoy life to the fullest. Blessings! :)

I am 39 yrs old right now. And I still enjoy my life to the fullest. But sometimes I can say to my self that I am in aging, cause I myself sometimes forgot something that is very important. Like their is one time I forgot our wedding anniversary. Totaly that was a busy sched with my office. And my wife was just surprise me with a cake and a little dinner in our house. I just kiss her and smile and greeted her'. Ohhh... but we still enjoy our anniversary, though.

Sigh... Us Baby Boomers just keep getting older don't we. My eyesight isn't what it used to be, my hearing isn't either, and as for my memory, and as for my memory... Lensrolled to my Baby Boomer Jokes lens.

OK, I'm having one of those 'aging baby boomer' er 'senior moment' today -- I started out with a plan, and then found myself here lamenting old-timers and old age!
  • ronpass Aug 31, 2009 @ 1:48 pm | delete
Great lens Susan - we Baby Boomers have a lot of fun creating new things. Our age bracket has been described as the "Era of Generativity" by Erickson. The Baby Boomers on Squidoo are a testament to his wisdom.

Well, I know I need to get OFF the computer and do MORE exercises! Over did it yesterday and my lower back is killing me -- not up to sitting hours in planes heading to our vacation. Oh to be an aging baby boomer. Yeah! ;)

1946 to 1964? In Australia it's counted as 1946-1955 and is our largest grouping in the population (as of 2006). Not that we have such a large population :) So I know when I'm talking to compatriot "Boomers" that we shared pretty much the same Australia in our childhood. And they probably wear glasses, carry a little extra weight and take fish oil capsules for arthritic conditions. The women are either in the throes of menopause or reveling in PMZ! (Sometimes I look at my girlfriends and wonder why I hang around with such a bunch of bespectacled wrinklies with aching hips)

I'm so glad I just found this Lens Susan52! It is put together so nicely and artfully. Such taste show to us ol' Boomers, is worth passing around to any and all my cronies, to be sure.

Thanx for creating such an inspiring and helpful Squidoo Lens with this one. :-)

Thanks for the lens. Lots of good info.

I just hit the 60 mark and everything still works. So far my arms are long enough. I don't remember forgetting anything, so the memory must be working.

Don't let your sense of humor age, that's the most important thing.

Susan, great lens again. Love your writing style and sense of humour. I think the skill we learn as senior boomers ('46ers) is the art of reinventing ourselves and we also don't let others determine what we are capable of. How about a poll on this theme?

I am so pleased on how you have made everyone aware about forgetfulness and how it can be linked to dementia and what the difference is. The more everyone knows about this the better off they are as far as treatment. Great Job!

My blurb???? As always I am so amazed at what you do on this "funny" machine. AND I think that I am not a senior citizen....I'd rather be called a recycled teenager.
    Love you, Mom
