Dead Men Don't Bite

And thank goodness they don't! The famous pirates that will be explored in this unit are Blackbeard, Black Bart, Captain Kidd, and Sir Francis Drake (let's face it, privateering was very close to piracy). We will explore their lives through great biographies and other nonfiction books, as well as exploring the fascinating world of life on a pirate ship, their "code of ethics", their flags, and many other interesting topics.

Pirates Unit Study Book List

Here are a few books that will be read during the study of pirates. My Hip2Homeschool Unit Study will have a more extensive list.
