- Thanks for visiting and commenting! It is great news that you have an interview at Air Arabia and good luck with it.
I would not be too concerned with the future of the industry - people are going to want to continue to fly in greater numbers in the future, especially in the growth markets in Asia, India, etc. and so there will always be airlines needing people to work for them.
It is most important in my mind to find a role where you gain solid airline skills, so even if the airline you are working for doesn't succeed, then you can take your skills elsewhere. Also, I don't think you can join an airline and think you can stay there forever and so you should always be aware of other opportunities for advancement in other airlines.
Let us know how the interview goes!

- The best thing you can do is to try and approach the airlines/airports you are interested in directly. Either by checking their websites, or using something like LinkedIn to target people who already work there and who could introduce you to some of the right people there.
In most airlines it is very hard to enter as a manager, even with an MBA and you may have to take a more junior position to 'get your foot in the door'.
It may also be a good idea to approach airlines in India too, as although volatile, the Indian market is rapidly changing and growing and should need a lot of staff. It may be easier to move up in a rapidly growing Indian airline than in an established Australian one.
Good luck in your search!

- Sounds like an interesting career path. I suppose the beauty of the job is that you get to see so many different places. You just better have a head for heights! Seriously though, my mate's Dad was a pilot and he said that, for example. he got to go to places he'd only ever dreamed of, like the one time he flew to beautiful Hungary, and was wined and dined at a grand hotel near Budapest airport. It sounds like quite the life.

- Listening to pilots these days I think the halcyon days of old are over and it is more of a job than anything else. However there aren't many other jobs where you can regularly visit cities all over the world. Of course, for pilots and flight crew there are many years of hard work and unglamorous trips before you get to the levels where you are jetting to Sydney, Rio, etc!

- I think the chances of getting a job depends on the specific airline. I am not sure that many airlines have specific programs for school leavers or graduates anymore, so you'd just have to apply to whatever jobs are posted. However, I know the main US airlines still have MBA schemes which you can apply for while doing an MBA - they would tend to take people from USA MBA's only.
