Airsofting!
Airsofting for me is the greatest outdoor experience of my life. I have been Airsofting on and off since July last year, the great thing about it (for a woman that has a fella who joins in too) like I did, was my fella annoying me the week before but I wouldn't start an argument because I would just silently think to myself , "just you wait till Sunday and I can shoot you in the balls!"
WHO IS AIRSOFT FOR!
Airsofting is for any age , any race and any gender . All airsofting companies make you feel very welcome and you make alot of friends no matter who you are or your background! You do not need to incredibly fit for this game as (like most sports) you will get fitter the more you go.
I BECAME A MARSHALL!
Because I was a girl and they needed more women interested in the sport so I was made into a Marshall , my job was basically looking good in the gear and looking good when I shoot and play! lol it was alot of fun and I was trained up three weeks before I was put out on my own and was making scenarios and game plans for the people involved.
AIRSOFT WEAPONS!
Airsoft weapons rock in my opinion! they are very life like to the real things , so if you buy one then I warn you if you take it with you to work and show people you show them from the boot of your car , as my friend found out when he took a weapon out to show a friend , the armed forces were all around pointing thier very real weapons at him and telling him to put his weapon on the floor and get down on the ground!
To get hold of an airsoft weapon you need to have gamed at least four times in the last three months, be a member to a group and get the person running the group to sign a form for you , then your on your way to owning a super cool life like weapon you can shoot very fast bb's at your friends with =D
What we shoot out of our weapons are mostly 6mm plastic bb's and i warn you that it's not for the fairy type of people as most of the time when you are shot they effing hurt! I still have a few scars from close up shots or not so close up shots! i have a problem with heat tho , i get heated very very fast when running about in my gear so i end up running around in a t-shirt which absoloutley hurts but gives me a thrill too.
T.A / ARMY
I reccomend anyone in the T.A or planning to go to the Army to try it out , you will realise with certain scenarios and certain team plays and making booby traps and running around trying not to get shot is alot harder then you think it is , this is something the T.A doesn't teach you ! yeah they teach you how to shoot , they teach you manouvers but they don't actually get you running around with a bb gun and trying them out , and that is what Airsofting is all about !
It's a very fun and energetic game , there is a few people that get really into it and pretend they really are in the army and alot of shouting at you and stuff like that but most of the time it's just a group of friends running around shooting each other , so you get the best of both worlds.
DAYS / TIMES!
In most Airsofting companies an Airsoft session can run all day , we would start at at 8-9 in the morning getting there for 7 and finish well into 7-8 pm at night!
Another good thing about Airsofting is they run weekends , based on lots of things for you to do , running around using manouvers to helping you with pistol work , it's a top weekend out and it's pretty cheap too.
ALMOST FINISHED!
Well i think i have told you pretty much everything in my experience and i hope i have made you all excited and wanting to try it out for yourselves , and if you are thinking about doing it , GO AND DO IT! you will have much fun and make a ton of friends!
