Alaska CruiseTips for Everyone

Alaska is such a wonderful place to see nature. It is unsurpassed anywhere with the beauty that it holds. Everyone should travel to Alaska at least once. Cruising to Alaska is a spectacular way to go as you view the changing scenery on your way to Alaska. Make sure you pick the vacation you enjoy by using these Alaska Cruse Tips.

Alaska Cruising Tip #1

Choosing the cruise port

Choosing an Alaska Cruise does take some research. You want to have value for your money and also make sure that you have a good time. How does one go about choosing a cruise? A basic cruise is general 7 days round trip return to the same port. This might be the best cruise to chose for a beginner. Determine which port you would like to leave from. Vancouver and Seattle are both beautiful ports and you will chose depending on where you live and whether or not you want the additional cost of flying if required to either port. Always make sure you factor in the cost of getting to the port and whether you will need to stay overnight to board the ship the next day.

Alaska Cruising Tip #2

Determine your Cruise Line

There are so many cruise lines to choose from. It does make the choice difficult sometimes. Determine your pricepoint with taxes included and see which cruise line meets your price. There are cruises in every pricepoint. I generally suggest going for a middle ground with your first cruise to Alaska. If you have been to Alaska before and loved it of course you might upgrade or be happy with you what you had chosen before or you might chose a different type of room.

Alaska Cruising Tip #3

Choose your excursions early and carefully.

Excursions can be sold out so make sure you book them early. You can book them online before you board on the cruise ship. This gives you time to explore and review the excursions available at your leisure and explore which areas you would like to see. You will then get your tickets once you board the ship. You will however be charged right away when you book so beware of this. Decide if this is something you would like to do ahead of time so that you do not have to stand in a lineup to book them on the ship. The time spent in the lineup could be enjoyed elsewhere. Hope this Alaka cruising tip help you on your next cruise.
