Solar Panels - What's The Big Deal?
The big deal is that Solar Panels hold the promise of making high energy bills a thing of the past for you. Great leaps forward in materials technology and research in physics have moved solar cells from the realm of laboratory oddity to the forefront of the green movement.Solar panels, in effect, "harvest" some of the incredible amounts of energy given off by the sun as light. It is beyond the scope of this lens to discuss the math involved but, just being aware that they are cost effective now is to know enough.
"Knowledge Is Power" I forget who said that but, it has never been truer than it is today. Here is just one example of what's available out there. This one is incredibly well done.

There's More Required Than Just A Plate You Put In The Sun, Isn't There?
Yes. You need the panel, a storage device and maybe something called an inverter. Read on....
Solar panels are only part of the story. Whether you have a small kit to take camping to power your lights at night or a big system to power your whole house, one powerful enough to provide extra generated electricity to sell to your local power company, you need two things. You need a method of storing electricity for when you need it. In the bush, you could use a small device such as your car battery. For larger installations, large station batteries are needed.
Once the power is stored, it can be used in one of two ways. If the only device you want to use is your satellite phone let's say in the bush, you can power it off the battery if the voltages are correct. On the other hand, if you want to use something that you plug into the wall like a power drill, the battery electricity which is direct current (DC) has to be changed to household alternating current (AC). This is done with a device called an inverter.

Solar power has no re-occuring cost and a very low, almost negligible maintenance cost. Modern systems provide cost effective energy to solve the energy problems we face today:
Beauty and the beast.
Solar panels have come a long way, baby!
If you thought that going solar was going to make your house look like a mars rover, think again. This is just one example of a COMMERCIAL installation. There are many more available commercially but the beauty of solar panels is that, after getting a bit of proper instruction, you can create your own works of art. You Have To Know A Bit Of Everything
(But that doesn't take long)
How big a solar panel should you have? Where should it be located? Are there any hazards involved? Are or should the local building codes be involved?
Are there things that the average home handyman shouldn't try to do?

- I absolutely love my solar panels. They have saved me thousands on my energy bills. I cannot thank You enough (and cannot believe!) You are giving these books away for free!
After reading these books, and after reading the information you provided, I made my decision and will never go back!
I am going "GREEN" all the way!
My bills in the winter used be over $600 for a couple of months! Now, I spend considerably less than that and these panels have saved me so much I am now saving for an electric car! (No joke, I have enough saved now for half the car and I only started saving 9 months ago!)
At first I thought it would be an eye sore to everyone around us (especially me), but we were able to create a "tree" looking panel like the one above and place it in such an area of our yard that it is barely noticeable!
I love my solar panels, and i am much happier that it is becoming so much more affordable for everyone! A very worth while purchase and the way of the future!
