Uber Light decks
Almost's newest and greatest product is the Uber Light deck. It was created and designed by Rodney Mullen. The Uber light deck is a deck inside a deck! It is a regular 7-ply deck, except for the fact that it has a carbon fiber deck on the inside. The carbon fiber deck makes the board very light, but also very strong. The Uber light decks have a very long life span, do to the carbon fiber. The boards also have an amazing pop, they also have very quick and precise. Impact Support
Almost skateboards puts soft shock absorbing discs inside most of their new skateboards right above the trucks, they call it Impact support. Impact support helps abosrb most of the impact from your landings, which can help your board by reducing cracks in your board, and it helps your feet by reducing the shock. This can be very helpful when you ollie down stairs, or off of tall ledges, and it is also good for every day use. Their newest Impact support series is the Balloon Animal series. Rodney Mullen
Rodney Mullen was born on August 17, 1966. He started skateboarding when he was 11 years old. He also started competing that year to. He turned pro when he was only 13. His first pro sponsor was Power Peralta Bones Brigade.
Rodney Mullen is considered the most influential skateboarder in history. He has created tons of tricks, such as the ollie, the kick flip, the heel flip, 360 flips, air walks, and tons more. Rodney has created 32 tricks in all!
In 1992 Rodney Mullen and Steve Rocco started "World Industries". And then in 2003 Rodney and Daewon Song created "Almost skateboards".
Daewon Song
Daewon Song was born on February 19, 1975 in Seoul, South Korea. Daewon Song was named skater of the year in 2006. He is the co-owner of Almost skateboards. Daewon is best known for his amazing manual and Flat land skills. Chris Haslam
Chris Haslam was born on December 19, 1980 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Chris started skateboarding when he was 13. He turned pro when he was 24. He is sponsored by Almost skateboards and Independent Trucks. Greg Lutzka
Greg Lutzka was born on April 20, 1985 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Greg has been skateboarding since he was 10. He turned pro when he was only 17. He has been riding for Almost since 2003. His Sponsors include Almost, Globe shoes, Independent trucks, and Mob griptape.
