American Girl: Dolls, Books and Accessories for Tweeners

American Girl books, dolls and accessories hold a real fascination for the 7-12 set--  and moms can love them too!  The whole premise behind American Girl is that there is a need for dolls that depict girls being girls, not adults with abnormally proportioned bodies, or tarted up brats!

The American Girl doll and book collections are not only wholesome and beautifully made, but they capture young girls' imaginations and teach them something about what all girls have in common-- friends and family, loyalty and bravery, heart and soul.

This lens offers a compilation of the most interesting and relevant American Girl-related websites from my browsings.  Enjoy!

Mia, her accessories, and both of her books!

This is my own auction. Mia has been very well cared for, and the books and accessories are in perfect condition. Don't miss this chance!

American Girl Finds on eBay

Remember to read eBay listings very carefully, as there are a lot of items with "American Girl" in the title that are not official American Girl merchandise. If you're concerned about getting the real thing, watch for phrases like "like American Girl" or "fits American Girl" that will tip you off to either hand-made or knock-off merchandise.

American Girl of the Year Books

Introduced in 2001, American Girl's contemporary Girl of the Year characters are designed to give voice to a diverse range of personalities and backgrounds. Each modern-day character comes to life through her own special story that reflects her lifestyle, interests, and activities. The Girl of the Year books conclude with a "True Story" section featuring real American girls whose experiences provide a connection to the fictional characters, and demonstrate to girls that there is no limit to what they can accomplish. A new contemporary character is introduced each year.
