Cliche
The BEST Funky Fresh Fashion - local designers
"A cliché (from French, kl%u026A'%u0283e) is a phrase, expression, or idea that has been overused to the point of losing its intended force or novelty, especially when at some time it was considered distinctively forceful or novel" - Wikipedia
Mpls Central Library events
The BEST place to bring a kid on Saturday morning: oh, and get a book. Plus they have "Childish Films at the Library" -Come see a free series of children's cinema for ages 3 and up at the downtown Minneapolis Library-held on the third Saturday of every month at 10:30am in the Pohlad Hall (on the 2nd floor). Each show begins with an activity, and free snacks will be provided by Whole Foods. The series is presented by The Friends of The Minneapolis Public Library and curated by Deb Girdwood and Isabelle Harder.
GH2
The BEST place to shop couture consignment; they have a 90% off sale twice a year where you will buy things you never thought you could.
American Refugee Committee International
The BEST humanitarian relief organization & it's based right in your home town!:
The American Refugee Committee works with refugees, displaced people, and those at risk to help them survive crises and rebuild lives of dignity, health, security and self-sufficiency.
Sweeney Todd's
The BEST stylist in town: Danielle is a scissor slingin' braiding machine with music on the mind. She has been twirlin' tendrils for almost a decade and specializes in hair extensions and dreadlocks. Anything from a modest mane to a radical rock 'n' roll style spins off her fingertips. She is always up for a challenge.
The BEST restaurants in town
They stole my list! Unfortunately two of them have closed since - Auriga and Restaurant Levain; but Fortunately, Steven Brown will be the Executive Chef at the new Ivy building restaurant. You can click on the links from this article to all the websites.
Shelly Mosman Photography
The BEST photographer: words do not do justice - you just have to go to the website and see for yourself. Look for the one of my belly protruding out of a wool sweater and then my husband kissing our newborn son on the head in BOOK 4,ANGELS
Etsy.com
The BEST place to buy and sell all things handmade. Talk directly to the artist or your clients, depending on your role at the moment. From great deals on semi-precious jewelry to an egg carton of penguins, you'll find it here.
Origami
Widely regarded as having the finest Sushi in Minneapolis, Origami also offers a variety of Traditional Japanese cuisine as well as some American favorites, the best Sake selection in town, and a great bar with an extenseive selction of martinis, wine, scotch, and beer.

30 North First Street
Minneapolis, MN 55401
(612) 333-8430
Egg & I rated by The RAKE magazine
The BEST place to bring your toddler for brunch on Sunday. Fast, reliably good basic breakfast food for your baby and some outstanding huevos rancheros for you. Staff is super friendly and professional and they more than tolerate kids - they understand and like them. Quick turnover and a relaxed atmosphere makes it a great experience.

About creative-thinking

My name is Amelia. I am a native to Minneapolis and I work for ARC International, a humanitarian relief agency based in Mpls.  I am a full time working mother and wife, so I have loads of free time (ha ha).  I thought about what I would want to see in a lens and this is it!  I want to know before I hit a city where all the great finds are and where to go.  If you already live here then maybe you'll discover something new that you didn't know existed right in your back yard - like a top notch organization that works for the health and well being of refugees around the world.Who knew? I did.
