Refugees in Tucson
I'm a case manager at the Lutheran Social Services Refugee Resettlement Program here in Tucson, AZ. I am hoping to use this page as a reference point for interested volunteers, community members, students...really anyone who is wants to learn more about refugees and the contributions they make to the Tucson community. - Another VOLAG that does a lot of outreach and good work overseas.
- International Rescue Committee
- One of the few VOLAGS not sponsored by any religiously affiliated groups.
- United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
- The UN's refugee organization that is responsible for helping refugees in refugee camps, determining at-risk populations, and assisting refugees overseas take the first steps to resettlement.
