If you a looking for a great new auction website, check out Milbid. It is free to sell and free to buy. There is a wonderful group of sellers with a wide choice of items. I am sure someone there will have what you are looking for and if not post a want ad and someone will find it for you. A portion of all the profits of the site go to troops deployed both home and abroad. Several of the sellers offer items for sale for MilBid care packages or donate the profits from their stores to be used for care packages.
The auction site owner is very involved with the site and is always available for question. You will never find a more helpful group of sellers on any internet auction site, they want everyone to succeed.

The penny auctions being offered by many of the alternative auction sites are now going for a 14 day duration.

I have recently listed a group of vintage and antique China and Glassware. Some excellent condition Japanese sauce bowls, tea cups, demitasse cups and both pressed and cut glass items.

Several of the smaller auction sites are continuing to offer their .1c/.1p joint promotions.
After the first week it has shown that working together we can promote both our own and other auction sites and help to make buyers aware that there are many great items listed at some of the smaller sites.

Many of the sellers items sold during the 1st week of the promotion and also report an increase in people browsing and bidding on other items listed.

The smaller alternative auction sites seem to be an excellent place for smaller sellers and hobby sellers to list their items as there are little to no fees at most of the sites and no one to tell you what types of payments to except, how to ship, what to charge to ship, and as buyers search for specific items they are being shown they have many more options on where to purchase the items they want. With less fees sellers no longer have to inflate shipping to cover excessive fees and can pass those savings on to the buyers.

I have found many wonderful items on the alternative websites and I find myself bidding on one of the Penny Auctions.
