Angels

Close to Christmas 2008 I found a white feather in a place where no feather logically should have been seen! No pillow of mine has feathers besides I don't store any pillows nearby!

I was looking in my bedroom closet for some doilies my late grandmother had created years ago. Wile trying to reach the bottom of the box, a silk scarf adorned with butterflies dropped on the floor and next to it, a small and soft fuzzy feather of the purest white gently landed.

A warm feeling immediately came over me, and I left the room with a smile on my face. I took the feather and placed it in my curio cabinet after taking a picture of it!

Was there a message in this? Sure we all heard that white feathers belong to Angels from up above or are simply a sign that somebody dear to your heart who passed away is sending a message of love, support and protection?

It is commonly believed in some cultures that feathers are symbols of higher thought, spiritual progression. Sometimes a message that we need to lighten up, not take things too seriously and enjoy the moment or that we are on the right path to a journey of our own.

This happened to me before, for instance I was at the post office in France in late 2006 and mailing very crucial papers, I had just finished filling out the form necessary to a speedy delivery when all of a sudden a white feather fluttered down, landing on the counter next to me, there were two more people inside the room when this happened and we all wondered where this feather could have been coming from, we ended up laughing when I hinted that it was probably a good omen and that my request would be granted. And so it was!

A few days ago a lady in the business of "Reiki" asked if she could buy the photograph of the feather you can see here. I requested further information as I do license some of my images at a different price depending on their use. Liking what I read in the answer I just decided to let her use my image for free providing a link to my website. To her there was an iridescence and light around the feather that pushed her to ask for this particular image. She too apparently was familiar with feathers encounters! There is no price tag on some signs that could be qualified of "celestial" and a purpose perhaps, we are sometimes connected though the Universe. At least this is what I believe.

Sometimes celestial beings can give us a sign especially when we are faced with difficult choices or situations, just watch for clues! A thought, a piece of information you receive at the right time, all might just fit into place if you just remember how to ask.

The picture you see in purple and aqua tones s is the white feather who came fluttering down inside my bedroom closet, digitally manipulated with a computer plug-in. The feather with the brown background is the one who fell while mailing my papers from inside the post office.

I do have a few more of various colors and keep them all in my curio cabinet. Feathers have shown up throughout my life here and there and always in the strangest places. I have leaned how to notice and try to understand their messages.
