Anger Management, Types I and II
Ranked #62,577 in Healthy Living, #698,661 overall
There's more than one way to look at anger...
As a psychologist of 25 years, I have come to think that anger problems come in two types. The first type is what most people think; that is, someone yells, turns red-faced, hits things, "ties one one," gets into trouble with the law or experiences domestic violence.
Type II is just the opposite. These people hold it all in and generally don't experience much, if any, anger. Instead, they cry, whine, get depressed or have panic attacks. The extreme of this is when people develope eating disorders, hysteria or addictions. While there are certainly other causes of the above syndromes, Type II anger seems to be one of the strongest dynamics underlying the conditions.
This new ebook describes the two types, then goes on to detail the many Western ways of understanding and dealing with anger. Plus, there are now many Eastern approaches, which are creatively combined with the older ones to create surprisingly easy ways to manage this sometimes untoward emotion.
