Best Disney’s Animal Kingdom Restaurants for Teens at Walt Disney World
Ranked #4,993 in Travel & Places, #144,907 overall | Donates to Salvation Army: Indiana Division
What are the best restaurants for teens & adults at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park?
It is easy to find dining experiences for young children at Walt Disney World. There is a plethora of character meals and you certainly never have to go far to find a kids meal. But are there any memorable or fun restaurants at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park for older kids, junior high students, and teens?
We've compiled a list of Animal Kingdom theme park restaurants we consider the best Disney has to offer big kids and teens. We aren't including counter-service / fast food type locations in this list - just table service restaurants.Â
The Rainforest Cafe has an entrance outside the park so you can did there without a theme park ticket but you'll need a Disney theme park admission ticket to enter Disney's Animal Kingdom, even if you're only going into the park to dine. If you're driving, parking will be about $14 for the day - unless you are staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
We have links below to our articles about dining with teens in the other Disney theme parks, Downtown Disney, and resort hotel restaurants.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park Dining Choices for Older Children and Teens
- Rainforest Café ~ You may have been to a Rainforest Café in another city - if so, you know what to expect: great jungle / rainforest type theme with good but not amazing food. There is also a Rainforest Café located in Downtown Disney. This restaurant does not participate in the Disney Magic Your Way dining program.
- Tusker House ~ You'll want to skip breakfast, which is a character meal. This restaurant has a bit of an African theme and offers a nice buffet with some interesting but not overly exotic choices. This park has a lot of outdoor activites and can be warm so you may appreciate the chance to sit and cool down in a nice air-conditioned space. This isn't an amazing experience - just a nice choice for lunch or dinner.
- Yak & Yeti ~ This is a new restaurant by the same people who created the "Rainforest Café" and "Joe's Crab Shack". It is a bit spendy - with entrees starting at $15.99 and going up to about $22.99. The restaurant very well themed to look like something you imagine you'd find in Nepal or Tibet. TIP: Try to make a reservation for this restaurant's last seating (usually) at 4:30PM - you can watch Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade in the Asia Area and then hurry over to check in for dinner.
