Anime Fun
My 13 year old daughter loves anime. She loves to watch it, write about it and draw it. She has lots of pictures saved on my computer. I thought it would just be fun to share some of those pictures with you. This lens is just for fun and I hope you enjoy it

What is anime?
Anime , Anime? taken from half of the Japanese pronunciation of "animation", pronounced [anime] Anime.ogg in Japanese, but typically pronounced %u02C8æn%u026Am%u0259 in English) is animation in Japan and considered to be "Japanese animation" in the rest of the world. Anime dates from about 1917.
Anime, in addition to manga (Japanese comics), is extremely popular in Japan and well known throughout the world. Anime itself is considered a form of limited animation. Anime can be released either by television broadcast or released directly to video, in which case it is often called OVA or OAV (Original Animation Video).
Anime can be hand-drawn or computer animated. It is used in television series, films, video, video games, commercials, and internet-based releases, and represents most, if not all, genres of fiction.

- I am not a fan of Anime but that's because the first Anime i remember was my kids watching Speed Racer until I wanted to pull their hair out. That I think was Anime too and I still dislike it. Nice job on the lens. It can be captivating.

- I loved anime as a kid (and I'm 34). I didn't know it was anime then, but I loved movies like The Last Unicorn, the anime version of The Little Mermaid (not Disney...closer to the original Hans Christen Anderson tale...made me cry but I still loved it), and shows like Robotech.

- I agree with Jaguar Julie, these are amazing pictures and Anime is gaining popularity--gosh, I'd even heard of it. I'd probably agree with the wise cat on the other stuff she said to, if I knew what she was talking about--I seem to stand alone in the dark on some of these technical matters. I just took one more look, yup--those are great pictures you have chosen. Nicely done!

- Wow! You have some amazing pictures -- I do know for a fact that Anime is a POPULAR topic and this lens should rise -- may I make a couple of suggestions -- Check the text in your "What is anime?" module and be sure that you customize titles on all the modules; i.e. 'Reader Feedback' so that you don't use the defaults. Good luck my dear! ;)
