I was 13 years old when I heard "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) for the first time. Needless to say I was hooked on the Eurythmics from that day forward.
Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart revolutionized the world of music with their "synthpop" sound. My favorite songs from them are "Missionary Man" and "Here Comes the Rain Again".
But music isn't the only thing that Anne Lennox is known for! On April 20th, 1992 I was glued to the TV watching The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness when Annie Lennox sang "Under Pressure" with David Bowie. Her performance was flawless and moving. Since then I have always kept and eye on what Annie Lennox has been up to with her charitable giving. She inspires me to want to give too!
This lens is to say "Thank You" to Annie Lennox for her compassion, caring and humanitarian work around the world.

Should have thought to do one for Annie Lennox! I've got the amazing song she sang on the Idol Gives Back lens. Great tribute lens. Do add it to the SuperHero Group, http://www.squidoo.com/groups/superhero. Posted June 18, 2008 |
