Band Bio: Annie McIntyre (Lead Vocals)

Deeply sensual and proudly powerful, Annie's voice is a revelation that commands the microphone. Wisdom, wit and unabashed love flavor her lyrics and her Janis Joplin-meets-Nina Simone presentation, proving to the audience that "this woman's been there!" In fact, Annie's been there since age three when she first started singing in Mill Valley, Calif. While growing up, she was surrounded by the influences of Bay Area rock, soul and rhythm and blues. Mentored by San Francisco great Johnny Nitro, Annie also studied with amazing voice teachers Claudine Spindt, Bob Miner and Judy Davis. As a headline-making upstart, she opened for Tommy Castro and has played with Danny Uzilefsky of Chrome Johnson, Chuck Day, Preacher Boy, the Natural Blues, James Henry of Pablo Cruise, and Jeff Pevar of CPR fame. To Annie, music empowers, strengthens and spreads joy. Rooted in the blues that gave Annie her voice, she considers her songs a tribute to those who have come before her and an expression of solidarity with those who have suffered and have then found joy through music.

Band Bio: Joe Diehl (Guitarist)

Joe was 16 when he joined his first garage band, a Northern California outfit called Ocean Side East that played Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Allman Brothers and other classic rock covers. Three years later, Joe began studying with Tower of Power guitarist Bruce Conte. A variety of projects followed in the 1980s, including a soul review, blues bands, punk-influenced art rock, and many singer-songwriter undertakings. In 1989, Joe moved to Mill Valley, California, where he formed Skyclad. An experimental original band that performed all over northern California, Skyclad opened for the likes of Counting Crows, Jefferson Starship, Michael Franti and many others. The 1990s found Joe a regular featured artist at Mill Valley's famous nightspot, the Sweetwater. There he played with Jenni and Maria Muldaur, Bob Wier, Gregg Allman and Steve Kimock, and opened for Train and Linda Perry.

Band Bio: John Lingafelter (Bassist)

Born in Washington, raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and settled in Southern Oregon, John has been playing bass up and down the West Coast for over 35 years. Versed in all styles, John plays both electric and upright bass.

With a bachelors degree in music (UCSC) he has a solid understanding of the structure and theory of music. He also completed a one-year program at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California. John has worked with producer Kim Fowley (Runaways & Steel Breeze) on an original album for Parallel, a California band.

John has enjoyed playing with many excellent musicians in a wide variety of situations including many weeks on the road and extensive recording sessions. He has backed recording artists such as Roby Duke and Daryl Mansfield in live performances.

Band Bio: Allen Crutcher (Keys and Harmonica)

Born in Los Angeles to musical parents, Allen started playing piano at age 10. He studied theory and improvisation throughout his childhood then had a musically formative experience in high school when he discovered the music of Freddy King, Jimmy Reed and other legends. Before he was old enough to drive, Allen had made a record with his band, the Delaney's, on ABC Paramount. He has recorded at several studios in Hollywood, rubbing elbows with Richie Valens and Bobby Blue Bland. Allen moved to Ashland, Oregon, in 1999. He has since played with various Southern Oregon groups, including Heart and Soul, Jason Johnston, the Blues Dusters and the Generic String Band.

Band Bio: Jim Sitter (Drummer)

Growing up in Rochester, NY, Jim was playing drums before he could walk. At least that's what his mom tells him. He began formal training in the third grade and continued in various music programs and percussion sudies through high school. Jim also studied with the late Dave Accorso, star pupil of master drummer Steve Gadd, and has now been playing music for 34 years.

In addition to drumming, Jim enjoys hanging out with his beautiful family, and teaching both guitar and drums to his own students in Jacksonville, Oregon.

Jim looks forward to his goals of playing Austin City Limits and large stadiums with AnnieMac.

You rock!
You're awesome!
You've got the voice.
You've got the lyrics(poety and wisdom).
And you've got the band.
I saw the Cowboy Junkies a few yrs. ago at Britt and was disappointed with the female singer. She was too timid. I wanted her to belt out the music and she wouldn't do it.
But you do!
You can start out slow and easy and then cut loose with great energy.
I love it! It's got me dancing, and that's no small thing.
All I can say is that I hope you continue to create great music.
I like all your music, but the one I really like is 'You make me feel'.
It's got real magic.
And so do you.
Keep singing so I can keep dancing.

Hey beautiful people,

Here's the latest news. We are in rehearsals with our new band members, John Lingafelter on bass and Jim Sitter on drums. These two are a wonderful addition to our band. The band feels complete and we are doing great things together.

We had an awesome gig opening at the Britt for Three Dog Night. We have a few festivals coming up this fall.

We will be headed into the studio again with Jeff Pevar to record "Look At Me, Don't Look At Me" as soon as all of our schedules align! The audience at the Britt went wild for the song and we can't wait to have it ready for you all.

We also wanted you to have our links to our expanding presence on the web. Here is a list of some of our new sites.
